JDpower, those screws adjust the height of the bridge to change the playing position of the strings, you can raise/lower them if the current position doesn't feel comfortable, however, if you set them too low, it will cause the guitar to fret out (the tones will be inacurate) or too high and it will be hard to push down on the strings, the long and short of it being, don't touch them
unless you really want it changing you can normally get it done in your local guitar shop.
And yes, thats exactly what you do to change the strings.0 -
i know this sounds a bit cheeky but with all you guitat players on - Does anybody know of a good deal on a practice amp? I bought the guitar but it's just getting dusty now!!
I need some inspiration to start playing.0 -
Hello I have just bought a black one of these guitars for my o/h's birthday. He is mad on pink floyd so I wanted to buy him a begginers book so he can start with the basics. Maybe 'Floyd for Dummies'
Any suggestions?? 0 -

That reminds me. Asda have a Guitar Tutor PC software package for about £8.00. Don't know anything about it but may be worth a look for those who need one.

I bought the "Fender: Getting Started on Electric Guitar" DVD after seeing many positive comments about it and it seems pretty impressive. Its pretty easy to follow and the bloke presenting it is likeable and makes it feel like he is sharing his knowledge rather than feeling like a tutor teaching you cold and clinically. I would certainly recommend it. Get it cheap at:viccig wrote:Hello I have just bought a black one of these guitars for my o/h's birthday. Also if you have Sky keep a close eye on the Musicians Channel (Sky channel 368) in the mornings as they have several different levels of guitar tuition programmes. Although at the moment they are all about halfway through their series but they are constantly repeated so just keep an eye out for the series starting again.
The beginners series, simply called M-Tuition: Guitar, finishes next week so will probably start from episode 1 the week after.0 -
Hi guys newbie here, I got back from my hols and saw the good reviews for the guitar and fancying my self as an axe wielding rock god (in a pinstripe suit) I treid to purchase one. The price thats coming up now is the princely sum of £65.98 inc VAT of £9.84 and postage of £5, am I missing a cose to put into ebuyer or have I missed the boat.
Any help gratefully recieved as I was getting excited about trying guitar at last until this set back.
Ta, Dave0 -
oops that was meant to read code to put into the ebayer box, sorry.0
-
There are no codes, ebuyer have since raised the price because of the number they shifted (you have everyone else on here to blame for that one
) 0 -
You missed it...so did I.
Keep looking back though as they may lower the price. Possibly the red one as they don't sell so well.0
