Bank: Barclays
Amount reclaimed: Around £1200
Amount received: £1,179
I applied for my bank charges over one year ago and also applied for financial hardship but quickly received a letter back saying that I was not really in hardship and that my claim was on hold. Then, out of the blue I received a credit to the account with the reference Preston Fishergate Goodwill Gesture and when I rang the bank to query they told me that it was the bank charges.
Fantastic, thanks for the help on this website this has made a big difference!0 -
many thanks for this... I found this out today when I rang Natwest for a new hardship form... but surely if a person is in receipt of housing benefit and council tax benefit that this shows that this person does not have enough income to support outgoings hence housing/council tax benefit (ie income is below national average)........ or am I being a little presumcious!!!! again thanks natweststaffmember

bank.... hsbc
amount claimed ....£3750 plus interest
amount paid so far..... £400 in march, £425 in april
to be reviewed at monthly intervals.....
dont agree with their staged refund policy under financial hardship, dont agree with them telling me how they expect it to be spent either, but at least theyv stumped up some money which is an awful lot better than a "no"0
