Hi Chris,

Yes it is! Once the date is fully confirmed we can start doing things!
The Save the Dates are already to go once the magnets are ordered, then it will all seem official!
I'll ask DD's friend in Gib who she used for her flowers when she got married there and I'll let you know.

I keep looking at the flights but no sign yet!

Thanks for that Sal, any recommendations will be great coz I have a feeling they will be very pricey.

Im going wedding dress shopping tomorrow for the first time, im abit excited but very nervous, im not sure if im looking forward to it or not. I wish my mom was here but shes in Spain and not coming over till Sept, iv promised I won't order anything until shes seen it. Im taking my 2 best friends who are 2 of my BM's with me at least I know we will have a laugh if nothing else lol!

Hey girls...well I'm STILL waiting for various people to get in touch and am starting to lose my temper with Fabi/Patricia from the Gardens! I'm trying to arrange a champagne/canapes reception in the afternoon as we've decided to get married in the church then do the Gardens and then have the Reception in the Mons calpe :-) have booked the Mons Calpe (loving Wanda from there!) and waiting for the time and date confirmation from the Church but have had one email in two weeks from the Gardens!! grrr I've even spoken to her over the phone but she won't do anything unless it's by email! I keep telling her that I've sent emails and she says she'll look at them but I still don't get any replies! grrrrr

so glad you've got a date sal - you're just after us ;-) hehe ...any luck on the dress yet?

Date and time confirmed by the Gardens, just waiting for time confirmation from the registrar, the date is confirmed by them soooo
Wednesday 4th August 2010 6pm in the Dell followed by champagne reception at the Lion's Pond. Followed, I think, by a meal at the retaurant where they got engaged last year!:beer:
Chris, dd's friend is away at a wedding so I'll talk to her when she gets back.
Michelle, saw your post elsewhere and £20 per head does seem a bit steep! I think we too will be looking elsewhere!
The Dres!!!! Well, as I said she felt the coffee stain on the Jenny Packham was an omen so decided not to go ahead. The Maggie she wants to try is a 2007 model and there are no sample dresses available! So none to try on It's start again time but perhaps we'll get somewhere now that dress is out of her mind. She has seen some gorgeous dresses online but of course, being my daughter nothing is straightforward, they are U.S designers!!! She has a busy couple of weeks at school leading up to end of term and then we are going to get cracking! Believe it or not there's still a couple of local shops we haven't visited so that's first stop. I can actually see her ending up getting one made!

Hi all

I'm not sure if you saw my thread, I went to look at dress styles on Sat because I was ademant I was going to order from Landy and ended up buying the first one I tried on lol!
Its gorgeous and I fell in love with it as soon as it was zipped up, I felt like a princess.
My 2 oldest BM's were with me and they'v seen dresses they like in the same shop, im taking my OH's 2 daughters in on Sat so they can have a look at the BM's dresses and to show them mine. Mine was reduced from £900 to £399 and she had only put it in the sale the day before so it was fate it was going to be mine!!

Another great thing is we all booked our flights this weekend, we're flying with BMI and got our 4 return flights for £500, bearing in mind this is Whit Wk I think thats a fab price. I'm going out on the Tues before for just over 2 wks and my OH is coming on the Sat when the schools break up. All my closest friends and family have now booked theres too - OMG ITS NOW REALLY HAPPENING LOL.

Sal I hope you get a dress sorted for your daughter, if shes like me she'll know its meant to be as soon as she tries it on.

OOh I bet you're really excited now, dress bought and flights booked it's really happening now! lol
We've decided to wait for the Gibraltar flights from Monarch, DD and H2b are going out before us so if we fly into Gib they will meet us at the airport and we can follow them back to the Apt.
Which dress did you go for Chris?
I know we haven't seen the right one yet but I haven't said that to her, it's her decision at the end of the day and what I think is 'the' one may not be hers! The problem was having 'Belle' in the back of her mind I think subconciously she didn't want to decide until she'd seen that one but now she knows she can't perhaps the block has gone (I certainly hope so!).
I'll keep looking at Monarch, I'm getting very impatient! lol

We were umming and arring whether to wait for Monarch to release their flights to see if they were any cheaper but in the end thought sod it and booked BMIbaby.

Its an Alfred Anglo dress, iv found a pic of it on the Landy website but it doesnt really show how gorgeous it is. I'm really excited now but also feeling abit stressed by it all, I think its because we'v spend so much money in a week, we'v got to start saving from scratch all over again. What with the flights and my dress we spent nearly a grand in 3 days!!! But at least the 2 biggest buys are out of the way now.

Im not but my mom lives just down the coast so she's gona be doing my running around - Not that she knows it yet lol!

I also know that Sal's daughter knows someone over there, so they are probably their runner too.

My OH and I fly out 5 wks today. He hasn't seen the gardens yet so I cant wait to show him, we're also gona visit some florists - i'm so excited xx

Seriously Debjay, if you can get over to Gibraltar at any time it won't take you long to make arrangements. If not, there are a number of planners in Gib that will be only too willing to help out, google will help there!
I'm sure the girls here will help as much as they can!
