    We have had a standard email today asking us to copy our documents over to them but they havent actually said whether they can do the date we want :rolleyes:. Does anyone know if you have to send a copy of a previous marriage certificate if you have the decree alsolute, is so we're stuffed as neither of have them as we had to hand them in to get divorced. Helpfully they didnt answer that question in our email !!

    Hope this helps Kaz,
    I know my daughter and sil2b have had to send scans of their birth certificates and passports via email before a date was confirmed. This is a list of what they need to see;

    Hi Kaz
    When I went over I took just the decreeAbsolute but they have asked us to take a copy of his marriage cert when I go next month, like you he didnt have one so we had to go the deaths and marriages office to get one.

    Hi
    We are in the same boat but its easy to get copies. Just call the registry office in the area you were married. Only costs £7.50 and came within a week.

    You will need to send them, we checked before ordering the copies.

    Thanks Herbie, Sal, and debjay for your help.

    Somehow somewhere a copy of my marriage certificate appeared in a file which I never knew I had so OH has emailed it too them.

    So now after emailing and faxing since Friday we now have all the documents and a response "I have to check the diary, what date is it you are wishing to book again" :mad: :mad: :mad:.

    Would it not have been easier to check the diary first .........................deep breaths, keep calm, in 2 3, out 2, 3, in 2, 3, out 2, 3 ...............

    LOL kazmeister it is frustrating I know!
    Bear with it, I'm sure it will be worth all the frustration in the end.

    As you all know, my daughrer is getting married in the Dell; confetti is not allowed there, only grain rice. Does any one have any ideas how we can 'package' the rice to give to guests as they arrive. Something like paper cones etc. Inspiration gratefully received ladies!

    You see I dont really do weddings which is why I dont do them at work (I work in a conference centre that does loads of weddings) cant be done with a lot of fuss. It took us 13 years to set a date because I didnt want the hassle :rotfl:. My family wont even know till we fly out so they wont have any time to make a fuss or get/do anything special. But I am really excited and bouncing up and down like tigger which is a bit stupid for a 45 year old :o

    PS do I have to have a cake?
