I am so pleased that I have found this forum! I have been with H2b for over 10 yrs, moved to Gib in 2009, engaged in Dec 2009 and quickly booked a v expensive wedding back in the uk - (huge mistake!!) for Nov 11. In April 09 I fell pregnant with my beutiful son who is now 6 months. We quickly postponed the UK wedding until 2012 however sinece having my son, I really dont want a huge and expensive wedding so we are now planning to get married in Gib in 2012!
We are still in the very early planning stages and even though we live here do not have a clue about where to go, what to do etc! I think we are pretty decided on the botanical gdns and then perhaps having a reception at the mons calpe suite, which we aer hoping to view soon. We would like all of our guests (approx 40) to stay in the same place so are looking at hiring some apts in Duquesa and transport everyone down to Gib, that way we will all be together and can have a farewell bbq the next day.
Any tips/ advice would be greatly appreciated and if I can help with any info in Gib please let me know.

am trying to quote up our wedding, where did every1 stay/planning to stay when getting married in gib. Ideal would be a 30 person villa for 1 week so it would be a big party for a few nights after the wedding. would like to bus it over the border.

hi, Just thought i'd join in this very long thread to introduce myself and see what tips i can pick up! Im getting married in Gibraltar on 5th July 2012 at 6pm at the Dell. About 20 guests will be coming over with us (although it's tricky to pin anyone down at the moment)! We all plan to stay at The Rock Hotel, which is a bit out-dated but quaint and in a lovely position, then down the Quay for a meal in the evening....thanks for all the info on here - its great to share any info we can get....good luck with your planning x

Hi, i wonder wether anyone can help? My girlfriend and i were planning to get married in Gibraltar. Just the two of us, no fuss etc Mistakenly we thought that once we had emailed the relevant docs etc that we could book the ceremony and look forward to it. Unfortunately we didnt realise the time issue, we are booked into a hotel in southern spain between the 10th and 23rd of sept (11) and perhaps foolishly thought we could get married then but the reply email said they were booked for three months! Any ideas??
