Oh my god, This is great, where are you having your reception?

Will probably see you around Gib then :T

Well, we are planning to stay at The Elliot so you probably will! Lol!

We are going to go to a restuarant afterwards as there will only be about 10 adults. We are going to have a reception back home with a BBQ so I thought it would be nice to have a 3 course meal out in Gib!

    How exciting!

    Hi Jenny

Congratulations on your forthcoming wedding and deciding on Gib. Most has been said on here but once you know your venue then I'm sure someone who has already got wed there will answer questions for you either via the thread or PM.

    Good luck with your planning
Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!

    Hi Guys,

Easyjet have released their flights for Gib for Aug now. Do you think it is best to buy now or wait? Arggh! I have just had a bug and the other half currently has a very dire form of man flu and I can't think straight :)

  • Hi All,

Not been on for ages as wedding is cancelled!
I am now going to be having a baby in May so everything's been cancelled until we feel ready to get married.
Emmielou - good luck and am sure you will find another bride buddy
Will be back on here when we decide to finally tie the knot
    Good luck to all
  • Hi,

I am planning to get married in Gibraltar at the botanical gardens, and have a fairly low key wedding (as we have now been engaged for 8 years and have 2 lovely children), with mainly immediate family-although there will still be about 12 adults and 6 children!.

We are hoping to be staying in Spain and coming to Gibraltar for the wedding, and then going to a restaurant with our guests afterwards. I would really appreciate it if anyone could recommend some good restaurants to go to afterwards.

My OH would really like to stay in the Marbella area and travel to Gibraltar for the wedding day. Does anyone know if this is possible or is it too far?

    Thanks,

    Shaz x

Hi Guys, I have been reading this thread for months now in the lead up to planning my Gibraltar wedding in june 2012!!

My fiance and I are going over to gibraltar at the end of the month to look at the Dell, the Rock - we are staying here, and a little apprehensive after some of the reviews, the caleta, the elliot, and possibly the mons calpe suite - gorgeous but expensive and staff don't seem very helpful so we can hopefully decide where to hold our wedding ceremony and reception - very very hard just looking on the internet isn't it?!

So the reason I am posting is to pick the brains of those who have already got married there regarding discounts!! I have read on here on one of the threads that the elliot give big discounts? can anybody shed some light and help a mummy of 3 on a low budget get a lovely wedding at a good price :) if you would rather me contact you by private message please let me know by replying on this thread or send me a private message.

Any tips no matter how small would be much appreciated! Thank you thank you thank you in advance Emma xxx
