Chav-free holidays.... Do they exist?

I;d say a farmhouse in Gozo, Malta. Off the beaten track and no chavs as very few all inclusive places on Gozo. However avoid Malta itself, lots of chavs moaning.
Or somewhere random like Transylvania, Romania. Fly with WizzAir from Luton to Cluj Napoca. Went last year, no chavs anywehre, in fact only a few British people. Beautiful city. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cluj-Napoca0 -

Ah yes...Transylvania...sounds interesting.
Malta? went once, what a hovel. I hear Gozo is different.
The curious thing about Malta is that the locals think its ok to dump old washing machines, assorted household appliances and rubble by the roadside and they only speak to you if they think they can extract money from you.
A barren rock in the Med.....glad i only paid a pittance to go and i wont return.
Its even hard work getting a decent meal in the place. What a dump.0 -

I hear Monaco is fairly chav free. Except maybe the lottery winning ones.
On a slightly cheaper note though, have you thought about maybe travelling to somewhere like Belgium? Belgium is meant to be very anti-chav (obviously some parts will be full of them). This is my signature. There are many like it, but this one is mine.0 -
I wouldnt go to Brussles from my experience it was awful
I liked Ypres though i.e. the ex front line towns in Belguim, beautiful town0 -
ooh, this is promising ...we are going to Charante Maritime on hols this year and hoping for a chav free time!
any tips on good places to go...?
We loved the French version of Monkey World - https://www.la-vallee-des-singes.fr/contact.html , it's fantastic, the monkeys' are roaming round you! (not the really dangerous type).
Most of the other time we spent sight seeing (not touristy places), we went to Congac, and some other places which were really pretty.
I will have to get the map out and remember the names of the places.
I'm sure you will have a fab time. The weather is (mostly) fantastic there (depending of course on when you are going). My beloved dog Molly27/05/1997-01/04/2008RIP my wonderful stepdad - miss you loads:Axxxxxxxxx:Aour new editionsSenna :male: and Dali :female: both JRT0 -
Hi,
Wasn't suggesting Monaco ... but somewhere like San Remo or further up that coast line ... I do like Cannes - so somewhere down part of the coast is nice ... good beaches / warm ... excellent resturants, etc.

Nice to hear there are people like us who hate chavs too ha ha! I always thought the USA was free from chavs but on a recent flight home to Glasgow (we're not from Glasgow) we had a drunk Glaswegian man behind us who had a fit when the air hostess told him to put his bottle of whisky up in the hold, he obviously wanted to drink it on his way home. He was accompanied by his chavvy family, it was awful. His 2 chavvy grand daughters were sitting beside him and when they got on the flight, we heard one of these nice classy girls announce to the whole plane in their loud Glaswegian voice, "oh man, ma pits are minging". Translated, that means she was perhaps a bit sweaty. My question is, how can these people afford to travel to the USA??? Surely, their benefits can't stretch that far???0
