Thanks everyone. Do I see the GP or my midwife. I've got an appointment to see her in a couple of weeks.

Oh good news: heard from my mate in Afghanistan :D Don't know if she's gotten my E-blueys yet lol but she got the package from home with all the treats in LOL So going to make another small one later when I have a minute hehehe
Only thing I need to change is "more crisps, less jaffa cakes" :rotfl:
    She's funny ;)
is she well stocked with body lotion and talc?
When I was learning to drive my instructor's 2 sons were in afganistan/iraq and that's all they kept asking for

she has a bunch of lotions (everything from molton brown to sample sachets that are easy to take with her out... she gets back to base occassionally so hoping she can get talc in the US shop :) )
It's mainly things from home I think she's missing (like english crisps lol) so will try to keep coming up with a bit of variety :)

    Hi

I'm new to this thread and never thought I'd be on it! how life changes.

I live in Cumbria and whilst it is a beautiful county and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else, right now I wish I did. It seems that I will have to travel out of the county and pay for any non standard tests and scans (i.e. NT tests). Also discovered that my nearest hospital doesn't offer epidural service, I mean what century are we living in, in Cumbria?
I'll be booking myself into Lancaster (1 hours drive) but I hear really good things about the place so it might be a blessing rather than just going to the nearest place (Carlisle).
Anyone else pregnant and living in Cumbria on here?
Can't wait for the endless pregnancy sickness to end, off to buy some seabands today to see if they help. I bet a man named it morning sickness - he he!

    Hi Lisa,
welcome to the thread! It moves fast so be prepared! It's crazy how different things are from area to area, we wre quite lucky i think because we get all the nuchal fold stuff but it's so worth it for peace of mind!

    How far along are you?

edit: just seen your title says 10 weeks....doh! So what's your due date then, we need ot get you on the list! :)
  • AM - I agree with everyone else. I think you need to see someone and not leave until you are happy.
Feelie- glad you had a good weekend - have you managed to look at car seats yet?
Congrats & welcome to Daisychain & LCK. LCK - when are you due?

Wee samples - My appointments have always been early afternoon, so I have always done them in the morning and carried them in my handbag *yuck* in a food bag in case of leaks. I done usually have time to go home before appointments because of train times and it's easier to go straight there and I don't like the tought of doing it at work. I usually use a tub as I am a rubbish aim! :rotfl:

Lots of areas don't do nuchal fold as standard sadly... In oxfordshire we don't get it, if I was 5 miles south and in Buckinghamshire I'd get it as standard... hohum!
    best of luck!
