So basically ALWAYS take a sample with you - unless like me you get fed up with carrying them and you just get there 10 mins early and widdle in a sample pot whilst there :) The receptionists know me now and just hand me one when I let them know I'm there :rotfl:
LOL u always make me chuckle!
Our GPs cleverly put a toilet right on the waiting area bit where MWs 'live' and leave a basket of pots outside it  handy but I've only done it once as peeing in a pot whilst trying to stop a toddler opening the door is most difficult!

My midwife never said it had to be an morning wee. It would be horrible if I had to do that. I usually have to go to the midwife after going to work so would have a sample in my handbag all day. Not nice.

I was told off after having glucose in my urine - they said unless it was a monring sample it was inaccurate. I had to go back the following day with a morning sample to test.

I used to have afternoon appointments and had to carry a sample around all day at work!!

I've never been told to do 1st wee for sample just mid-stream.

My mummy is fabulous, sorry urs not as good sls :( When I was having Chris she didn't have anything booked for 2 weeks before EDD and 3 or 4 after :A
I'm hoping for a HB and I hate needles hence my distaste for being induced, chris was 14/15 days late by my dates so I feel happy that bubba will come when he's ready

You need to go and see the GP (or at least the MW) - it's a medical condition and needs to be diagnosed not guessed at :)
Not saying you're wrong - only that we can't give medical advice on MSE and until it's diagnosed then this would be very border line medical advice :)
I just wondered whether to bother or not. If the doctors don't do anything for it then I don't see much point in waiting for hours in a GP surgery, causing my but to hurt and having to wee every 5 minutes. Not much fun. :(

I always do a sample just before I leave. They say 'fresh' and I've no idea what counts as fresh urine so I do it at the last minute!

Never had it mentioned that it should be first morning urine.

Mine always has alsorts of stuff in it, Can't remember the last time I didn't have protein. One time I managed to tick all the boxes (protien, glucose, white cells, something-zides and something else). Crazy!

A referal to Physio might help. Really helped me at the beginning, a combination of exercises, avoiding doing certain things, crutches and wearing a support band. Nothing much is helping now, but I think at 38 weeks I can't really complain. Mine was very bad even before 20 weeks but the exercises and things really helped me keep going for longer.

My mum is great - she'd prefer baby not to be early though as there is a family confirmation she has to go to 2 weeks before Roo is due... it's my uncles son (the one who just lost his mum couple of weeks ago) and she wants to be there. I totally understand that and know that if Roo arrives early she'll just come over after that is out of the way - I WANT her here - I don't NEED her :) So the confirmation comes first (which I know bugs her - but I'm a grown up and I haven't just lost a mum/wife so their need is greater than mine :) )

you will be referred to physio for an assessment, then given exercises make it better and maybe crutches - Sami_Bee sister of a physiotherapist ;)

You won't know it's nothing though until you've seen them :)
And they may well refer you to physio or at least monitor it for the moment. SPD can have implications on your working etc so you really need to get it checked...
