Fitzio - urine to ALL appointments - GP or MW :)
They test for protein, glucose and Ketones and one more thing I think - can't remember... I've had protein in one sample, glucose in my last 4 (either trace or + or ++... hence why I ended up having a Glucose tolerance test on friday... this is to test for gestational diabetes :( glucose in the urine for several consecutive weeks is the first warning sign apparently grrrr) and right at the start I had ketone levels at ++++ (that is the highest they measure) and ended up in hospital on a drip for dehydration FUN!
So basically ALWAYS take a sample with you - unless like me you get fed up with carrying them and you just get there 10 mins early and widdle in a sample pot whilst there :) The receptionists know me now and just hand me one when I let them know I'm there :rotfl:

My midwife told me off for this - said it has to be a first morning sample to be accurate.

They discuss induction at 40 weeks - I am not sure if i am ready for that yet. I thought they would wait until 41 weeks.
LOL my "40 wk" app id before my EDD  I want to go the full 14 days over before induction so seams a bit silly to me but hey ho, they do what they like don't they!

AM - I really think you should call them, and kick up a big fuss!!;)

    Good Morning,

Can't believe how many pages have past since I commented on foof pain.

Those of you with spd, did you go to the doctors for a diagnosis and is there anything that can be done. I didn't realise that this is what it could be, I just thought my foof pain was a normal part of being pregnant (can you tell it's my 1st!) Having read the syptoms, they describe exactly what I feel. Are there any exercises that help?

Good luck to them ;) I'm not widdling in a jar at 4 am when I wake up for a big wee :rotfl:
Normally my appointments are first thing though - however several times I've come in and not had a sample (last minute appointments) and they just ask me to go widdle in a tube/jar there and then :) Never seems to have bothered them.

I'll wait until OH has been to the docs anyway, I'm more worried about him atm, he';s so quiet.

I am not sure how I feel about being induced - was thinking I would like to wait the full 14 days in hope that it would happen naturally. However my parents go away on 18th (ten days after due date)and would like them still around. I am still abit annoyed they booked a holiday that close to my due date.

You need to go and see the GP (or at least the MW) - it's a medical condition and needs to be diagnosed not guessed at :)
Not saying you're wrong - only that we can't give medical advice on MSE and until it's diagnosed then this would be very border line medical advice :)

If you cant get to speak to your community midwife I would ring the hospital.

My midwife never said it had to be an morning wee. It would be horrible if I had to do that. I usually have to go to the midwife after going to work so would have a sample in my handbag all day. Not nice.
