Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker Debt-free and Proud!
Sugar - So sorry for your loss

AM - (((HUGS))) hope you and OH feel better soon

Another vote for Dexter here too (It's on my list of possible names too!)

I have had confirmation my nursery furniture will be arriving tomorrow, wohoo! I can't wait, but me and DH had a bit of a panic on the weekend when we realised how quickly time is flying by, and how much we have left to do. We know a couple of people who have had babies 3-4 weeks early in the past few months and I think he has realised that I could go into labour that early as well.

sls - I didn't make it either but I believe they check you over and discuss induction then book a date for one and you see ur MW as usual a week-ish later

Fitzio - you should take a wee sample to every app :D

They discuss induction at 40 weeks - I am not sure if i am ready for that yet. I thought they would wait until 41 weeks.

I'm a bit worried :o I'm sure you shouldn't be suffering this much, could you call your consultant or MW? maybe if they knew how much pain ur in they would decide its better to get the little monkey out before he causes any more trouble :undecided
Well I dont know, I have my growth scan tommorrow so thought I could always pass through the antenatal clinic and see if anyone is there to speak to, the woman who booked my scan for me told me to pass the results through for a MW to check over.
I'm just a bit miffed because I seem to have 'slipped through the net' as my new MW said, and I dont think anyone will listen to me.
I will see what I'm like tommorrow, maybe I just dont kick up enough of a fuss
I would just wait, but I dont see how I can go 11 days like this, I've never been in so much pain before, not even in my last pregnancy, I cried this morning just getting out of bed, and I mean really cried, OH thinks I should phone them back up but I want to make sure he's ok before I do anything.

Oh I dunno, I'm just feeling really down about it all, I wish I could just take to my bed until the 17th....

Thanks but I think this one is staying put for a while longer - no pains no braxton hicks no nothing!! I would not be surprised if I end up being induced as I am convinced my first due date of 15th was pretty accurate.

Anyone know what will happen at my 40 week appointment as I didnt make it that far last time. I am assuming thay wont leave it two weeks to see me again as that is what normally happens.
Well I'm sending you some labour vibes, you can have some of my BH's too if you want, but I wont pass on the pain that goes with them :D

Thanks very much guys! Better go and sort something out then. I think I have a bottle somewhere! Appointment at 11am so better get skates on. Then going to Bravissimo to get fitted for new bras then DH taking half day and we are meant to be going to look at prams. Catch up with the gossip later.

    Morning all :)

Visit went well, stayed over the whole weekend which was nice. Got lots of baby things from my Mum (A complete set of immaculate Activity Bears, woo!) and ate lots of nice things.

Speed bumps and bumpy motorways really hurt though, got a lot of 'pressure' and pushing down feelings, but I don't think he is engaged. On Saturday, he seemed to be lying across my belly, either that or he has the biggest, longest bum in the world!

    DAU at 2pm, fingers crossed.

AM, sorry you are suffering. I'd definitely keep bothering them, doesn't sound like you've had much reassurance.

I'm alright, not too much pain or cramping, as long as I either sit or lie down. Cannot stand or walk for more than a minute without regretting it!

AM - I really think if you are in that much pain you should ring your midwife today.

DH decided to finish our bathroom yesterday which he has been tiling for around 1 year (!!!) when I went to work for some overtime and came home to find that a basic bit of plumbing had turned into a disaster and my ceiling was on my living room floor with dirty water pouring everywhere! Managed to rescue the suite as it’s leather, but the smell of the stale water is horrible! Ah well. Just hope that the insurance company will give us a new carpet as we need one anyway. However, we have no heating or water at the moment except for the shower thankfully.
Apparently it wasn't DH or dad's fault though - the people who lived here before us had obviously had some problems with it as there were marks on the ceiling, exactly where the water came through. And a piece of pipe was connected wrongly. Or so they tell me!
only just read this bit, believe me I feel for you!
last month my kitchen ceiling fell down for similar reason, it smelt RANK!!! and I'm still cleaning up mess!!
our insurance were pretty fast but be warned if you get quotes and they are around £1000 they'll want to send out an inspector which will delay things a few weeks and they may not pay for carpet - meanies!!
