to pee or not to pee.... I cheat and pee in a jug :rotfl: Its a larger target, and the transfer how ever much is required and flush the rest.
Its the easiest way I have found to privde a decent sample every time.
Walking... since I dont have to sit in the evil office, I am able to walk more.. so about 5 minutes before I need to sit instead of when I was still at work... shuffling for 2 minutes then being in agony :rolleyes:DS1 arrived 22/02/11! 8lb3oz

I think I ate my own weight in Everton mints for the worst of my morning (and afternoon, and evening) sickness... That and chewing gum really helped me...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...My Fathers Daughter wrote: »Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.

'Breast feeding may be impaired by heat dehydration'
i didnt know that - the article was talking about risks for pregnant women but do you think it could mean while you are actually breastfeeding or whilst pregnant?0 -
I do feel sorry for some employers as they are trying to run a business and have to adapt to suit everyone else, but I think if you have a genuine reason for needing them to adapt your working environment and it's feasible, then they definitely should be doing what they can within reason. I had my assessment on Thursday at 16 weeks, but I don't really need anything at the moment. They just said to let them know if things change as I get bigger as they can look at different chairs etc. And ordered me to stop lifting boxes of paper! They also said to let them know if a change of hours would be beneficial, but I don't see that it would make any difference as I already work flexi time. I could avoid the nightmare traffic if I got out of my bed earlier!!!
Jackson's Mum - if they have other work you could be doing, then you should definitely push for it.0 -
I remember that! I put on a stone by the time I was 13 weeks with DS, due to constantly eating toast and ginger biscuits to stop feeling sick.
I have since read that eating protein instead of carbs keeps the queasiness at bay for longer but didn't have the chance to test the theory.I like cooking with wine......sometimes I even put it in the food!0 -
And welcome LCK73! We don't get the Nuchal Fold scan either. And we only get 1 scan. If you want a second scan, you need to go private, unless they suspect the baby isn't developing or something.0

A positive came out of the visit. My Nephew is now 3 months old, and I think when my baby is that big, I'll be alright with people holding him. Now just got to try and keep people away from him for 3 months!Stay-at-home, attached Mummy to a 23lb 10oz, 11 month old baby boy.0 -
Thank you everyone for your thoughts.
My feet have swollen to the point where I can't put my shoes on and am freezing in flip flops, and I've just snapped at the vicar who my grandmother unaccountably wished to perform her funeral service. A more sanctimonious, obnoxious horror would be almost impossible to find, I think. I asked him a question about organising a choir per her wishes (the church doesn't have one) and he responded that that would be very expensive. We know. Choirs aren't cheap. Not your business to comment on the financial angle.
At least he didn't attempt to pray with me or for me.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76

I ate toast to combat nausea.
Also, peppermint tea helped, and also ginger tea. Peel and slice fresh ginger and drop between 1/2-1 inch worth in the bottom of a mug. Add boiling water, leave it a few minutes, and add a slice of lemon if you want.Organised Birthdays and Christmas: Spend So Far: £193.75; Saved from RRP £963.76
