EA - if it helps, the reasoning on the regular hours is fairly straightforward. You're less tired if you are working regular hours, as you can regulate your sleep pattern. If you're tired, your morning sickness can get worse - mine did! Which equates to regular hours + regular sleep = less time off sick while pregnant!

Feelie - you look great in that pic

Well, I have been keeping myself busy today. I have scrubbed the hob and oven, so it now sparkles (It will not stay that way for long I am sure ), I have found more stuff to Ebay. And I have made a list of other bits and pieces that need doing.
I am on a healthier eating regime with hubby too, so I am trying to eat my 5 portions of fruit and veg per day and eating less junk/chocolate/crisps etc.

as with kjmtidea stated it will be a case of keep trying different things. I found that by drinking sugary drinks if I woke in the night I wouldnt be sick in the morning, or eating a biscuit whilst still laid down helped.. so always had biscuits to hand so that I didnt even need to sit up to eat.

    Hi

I'm new to this thread and never thought I'd be on it! how life changes.

I live in Cumbria and whilst it is a beautiful county and I wouldn't want to live anywhere else, right now I wish I did. It seems that I will have to travel out of the county and pay for any non standard tests and scans (i.e. NT tests). Also discovered that my nearest hospital doesn't offer epidural service, I mean what century are we living in, in Cumbria?
I'll be booking myself into Lancaster (1 hours drive) but I hear really good things about the place so it might be a blessing rather than just going to the nearest place (Carlisle).
Anyone else pregnant and living in Cumbria on here?
Can't wait for the endless pregnancy sickness to end, off to buy some seabands today to see if they help. I bet a man named it morning sickness - he he!

Welcome to the thread Lisa and congratulations on your BFP :T:T

They didn't try for me till I was 16 weeks although I got a home doppler and was able to find it from earlier than that. Not sure how far along you are but I don't think you'd get it before 10 weeks? And it can behard to find with the baby being so small and wriggling about so much.

I have been trying to find it recently with a doppler and I am now 10w5d (without much padding) and still can't get anything except my own heartbeat and big swooshing noises every so often. It says on the box to use from 12 weeks, but like you said the baby is still small now, less than 4cm and could be in any number of places I reckon.

I keep dropping in every so often but waiting a bit longer to be added to the list etc. Want to have the dating scan (Thurs) then private nuchal scan (next Tues) first and then maybe I will be more confident this time.......cheers
