Has anyone had any problems with the sound with these players?
Ours was ok until yesterday when the sound packed in leaving us with just a buzzing noise. Not happy as this was a present to my daughter.
Hoping to exchange at the nearest store - waiting for customer services to reply.0 -

Try pushing the scart connectors firmly home..... as poor connections often causes this sort of buzzing noise. Also thy swapping the scart lead for a different one.

Flickering Picture / Crackling sound ??
Mine came with a very poorly made scart cable. After I replaced this, all was fine. I paid £40 for mine, and I'm very happy with it. I've used it for mostly Divx Xvid stuff, and it's been happy with DVD+R and DVD+RW.

I've tried different scart leads and AV leads, even on different TV's but still no sound.
Shame really as it seemed a good buy until the problems started.0 -
getmeoutofhere, there is a leaflet in the box saying how to switch on/off (can't remember which) dolby digital or something liked that. I had no sound & had to change something in the menu to get it to work.0
