Hi
Got one of these. On some DVDs I'm getting an occasional horizontal flickering.
Anyone know a cure or have I bought a (returnable)lemon?
Thanks

Not experienced that before but i am on my second player in two weeks, worth reurning it for peice of mind? they had no quibbles about exchanging mine. hth?0 -
In the previous thread there was mention of the infrared remote not being very good and that it needs to be close to and pointing straight at the player to work.
Is that still the case?0 -

Yes but it's not too bad, flimsy though. the disc tray is a joke, but don't let these two things put you off! it was £100.00 originally i'm led to believe so i can't complain.0 -
Thought I was too late for this offer but had a browse at my local store not expecting any left but noticed 4 boxes stacked up at the end of an aisle. It would be rude not to bag one at that price0

I've tested mine now. Plays DivX fine but DVD picture quality isn't as good as my Panasonic. Great for £30 though :-)0

Anyone know if this hack works? Won't have the opportunity to try mine before xmas but saw this elswhere.
Multi-region & Macrovision hack
1. Disc Tray Open
2. press 3,3,0,8 (on remote or player itself)
3. Select Region (1,2,3...0 for multiregion disables macrovision also)0 -
Mine was multi-region out of the box. Don't know about Macrovision.
A great player in my opinion, can't fault it.0 -
The only negative reports I've heard (apart from the flimsy disk tray) is that the length of time displayed on the OSD remains permanently on in the corner of your screen during playback of Divx movies. Doesn't seem to affect DVD or other formats though.0
