Makro do have the odd bargain - potatoes in large sacks for one, and sometimes trays of eggs. There just seem to be more people interested in costco on this thread.0

I think way back when we did ask for a thread split so the Costco people could have their thread and the Makro people could have their thread....
Can't remember why it didn't happen though...0 -
Makro do have some good deals. Chicken is excellent price atm. Probably because membership of Costco is actually esier than Makro IMO.0

I love Costo's we buy their packs of granulated sugar which works out about 60pish per bag and tea bags from there are something like £9. for a 1000 big packs of tuna fish for £4.99
as we are foster carers we only have to show our Certificate and one utility bill to join.CC1 1932.43

Went last night, dad needed Mach 3 blades. They're actually 23.86 inc VAT for 20 blades. HTH
Didn't notice anything else reduced as such.No buying unnecessary toiletries/makeup in May: Unnecessary spend £17.60
May INs: 14 UUs/OUTs/GAs: 11
2012 INs: 77 UUs/OUTs/GAs: 91
Savings from UUs: £60.50

Makro has been largely eradicated from this thread because it is a money saver's forum and that's the last thing they seem to offer.
As for Costco, you certainly don't need a business utility bill - you can use a bank statement instead. See - http://costco.co.uk/Membership_home/Trade_memship/trade_membership.htm
Thank you! I've read this before but for some reason I forgot I could just use bank statement. Problem is, I don't really want to open a business bank account so I will call on Monday to ask if I can use a normal statement with business address included. If anyone else is in a similar boat I will try to remember to post a follow-up msg with their response.0 -
Our gym's closing so we thought we'd buy a treadmill or cross-trainer instead of finding a new gym.
Costco have the Nordic Track E12 in for £720, but from 13th June it's down to £600 (inc VAT)
It's normally £1300! There is another place selling for £799 but delivery charge is on top.
Not a bad price I thought0 -
So that's the 3 Makro posts done for the next 20 pages then? LOL0

How many tins of tuna is this? I think part of the reason that Costco is more popular than Makro is the membership availability. As I said Makro do have some good deals, in the makro mail, but also their chicken is £20 for 5 kg breast fillets, but personally I shop at both. I have no loyalty! I shop where is best value for money on whatever I am buying.0
