I very much depends what you like to eat and so...
Every time you go pick up an offers book by the door - some offers in there, every other time they have offer on something I want.

Otherwise I buy (as I think it is good value and quality):
    chicken breasts
    pork loins
    pork shoulder
frozen raw prawns without tail (I think £8 for 1kg!! bargain in comparison with supermarkets... and proper prawns)
nature valley bars (box of for tenner I think)
when I take my OH he only spends all his time at the book isle, he says they have good choice of the latest books
    chorizo saussages for cooking with
lovely tomatoes and half price of supermarket (1kg £3 I think)

when we have a party, I buy olives, salamis, and all sorts as they are very good value, just a bit too much for us to use on normal basis!!

They do but I'm not sure it's any cheaper, oddly I noticed it last week it was all SMA from memory but I could be wrong. If you are after Stage 1 then it will all be the same price as no one is allowed to offer discounts on it (hence no Nectar Points / Clubcard points etc).

Just before christmas Makro had a kenwood chef mixer in on offer for £130 I ran down as quick as I could when I got there the bigger one was £150 which was miles better than the one I originally seen, I bought the bigger one and since then I've seen it everywhere for £250 upwards they must of priced it wrong.
