Great ‘What to Buy at Costco & Makro’ Hunt

Would anyone happen to be going to Costco lakeside anytime soon? We went there and my husband pointed out a tool set he would like for his birthday, well it was a subtle ish hint, but it was busy, it was a flat pack set as they tend to be of screw drivers but I can't remember who they were made by? It was something like £28, if anyone happens to know the make that would be great so I know what to look for when I get back there. Thanks

I bought one of these last time I was there (at the old price ) and I have been very happy with it. I can't find any guarantee with it, but don't Costco guarantee all electricals for 12 months anyway? Get one, they are brilliant!

I have thrown my leaflet away for this month's offers, but I think there was something like this on offer this month. Maybe someone else will come along who still has the leaflet and can confirm.

Just found this month's leaflet, hadn't got into the recycle bin yet, was still in kitchen. Think it may have been in last month's offers. The one I was thinking about this month was a 195 piece Crescent professional tool kit but is £63.58 including VAT.

Thanks newleaf,I decided to keep the Costco one and im very impressed,used it yesterday to cook oven chips and 1/4 pounders from the butchers,great results..
Re the guarantee.OH asked at checkout,but im still confused,he said the girl told him,Costco guarantee it for 1 year and so does the manufacturer...dunno if this means it has a 1 or 2 year guarantee,il ask the next time im in,but for the price im very happy(my bowl and accessories from my old halogen fit it too,so thats a bonus)

I think someone may have confused themself - in the new offer book Costco are offering Merchant Credit and debit Card processing at 1.1% credit cards and 11p for debit transactions. This is in competition to the likes of Streamline and Merchant Services who process transations on behalf of retailers.

Absolutely nothing in the book about charging for debit cards:D

Quite funny that we can offer this service yet we don't take credit cards ourselves, I know why we don't but its seen as quite unusual these days.

It's because credit card transactions are more expensive for the retailer to process, which would then have to be reflected in the price of goods or services. (This is what my hairdresser tells me anyway, when I moan at her for only accepting cash or cheques).
