You could try giving NatWest some feedback, I have ;)

I'm an existing customer and was able to open the e-isa on the 2nd April for 2009/10, and transfer money in when it appeared after about 24 hours, then the paperwork arrived a few days later. I thought isas could only be opened from the 6th onwards

I didn't expect to receive a reply from a feedback form, but they did on Easter Sunday evening ! I replied to it and received another email about an hour later. My comments have been passed to their development team and as I gave a link to this forum they will be able to see the problems people have been having ;)

Are we allowed links in signatures?

I thought I read rules only allow some people to have them.
They're linking to another MSE page, what's wrong with that!?

  • I have had the same problem as Stuartw101. In previous years I have opened ISAs on line with various other institutions and I have told them the amount and the account number I want it to come out of and they have done the rest - even when done on 5th April. I did the same with Nat West on Sat 4th April but I am now told that I had to transfer the money across myself once the ISA was open however, if I do it now, it will count as my 2009-10 allowance. I am sure it did not say this in the application and I am now having a row with them about the fact that I (and my husband and daughter) have lost our 2008-09 allowance.

They should follow their own advert and find "a better way"!
