Well my natwest e-isa account has now shown up in my account, but the money i deposited at the time of opening the account is not there :(

The same thing happened with my account, but it opened within 24hrs so i'm pleased with that.

I only deposited £1, so i just transfered £1 in manually lol.

Received the letter asking me to sign and confirm the deposit. Looks like i missed the 08/09 allowance.

Why didn't i just pay into my NS&I isa? Silly me for thinking natwest would get it done quickly. Lost out on potentially £150+ interest :(

Well, having "opened" it on Monday, nothing on my Natwest online banking yet. Been to my branch who say they can see a pending application, but they can't explain why it's pending as they "don't have access to information about e-accounts". So much for 'immediately'!
Hurrah, now I have more thankings than postings, cheers everyone!

Look out for an application in the post soon that you will need to sign and return :)

Has anyone on here actualy been able to open a natwest e-isa. Its taking forever with these idiots, I've had a dozon letters or so and they still haven't sent an activation code. They have sent customer number, cheque book a welcome pack, I've even had email from them, but still cant access online banking.

This bank is a mess, like tesco internet banking, you have to jump through rings of fire to get anything done. Phone them up and they refer you to the local branch, go to the local branch and they phone someone up for help. How difficult can they make it to open a bloody bank account?

I'm thinking about transferring to Natwest but the feedback on here doesn't seem brilliant so far!

Can anyone take an educated guess as to whether the Natwest ISA rate will drop by more than 0.5% over the next year? Otherwise I might transfer to Lloyds Fixed which offers 3% for over £9999 and has no penalties for withdrawal.

Has anyone had the experience of transfering an ISA from A&L to NatWest?

The NatWest Transfer form only allows an 8 digit account number, but the A&L account number has 11 digits! There doesn't seem to be anyway around this as you complete the form electronically and then print it out.

    Thanks.

My A&L account number has 9 digits and when setting up direct debits my statement says to quote the last 8 digits so maybe this is what you need to do. A&L don't make it simple :)

Well i received a letter yesterday dated the 4th April saying my isa had been opened, although it didn't appear online until the 7th. Strange how you have to sign a piece of paper saying you authorise a deposit from an existing natwest account, when i did it online :s

I'm in the same situation. Applied 'online' on monday for a cash isa plus and still waiting for it to appear. Funny thing is that the online customer service assistent cannot find my application anywhere on their systems. So much for existing customer satisfaction.
  • Applied for e-ISA on Monday - still not showing up online despite me being an existing customer. £3600 that should be transferred is still sat in my current account. You'd think they'd get it right - ISA's are pretty well established now.
