just to add... i do actually have a guy who sometimes helps me out with lifts etc, hes is really really nice, and he says all the things you guys say about being with rite person and it being wonderful - hes widowed, but says when he was with his wife he would never ever ever have strayed, talkin to him he sounds wonderful.... and im pretty sure hes interested in me.... but shallow that i am, he doesnt flich my switch looks wise...

    maybe i need to rethink!
That's what I was like. I wouldn't have looked for ther qualities in a man that my hubby has until the ex did the dirty on me. It changed my life completely- for the better.

didnt you think it strange you had never met any off his friends or family ?
I guess you always contacted him via his mobile phone ?
didnt you ask to see his home ?
    just learn from your mistake
I've been there and looking back I can think of several tell-tale signs that I didn't spot at the time. Mine was in the forces and told me he was kipping at several different friends houses due to the break down of his marriage or he was at sea. He normally came to my place cos that meant we'd got somewhere to be together, whereas he couldn't provide that if I went to him. this was in the days before mobiles were common so my contact was by letter again he had some excuse I believed as to why this was. you have to remember men like this are clever. i couldn't go nearly 5 years remembering to not mention one of my kids but he did.

Don't delete the thread as you need a bit of moral support at the moment!! Get it moved to the arms where I'm sure there will be more people who can help. :)

In a few months/years time you will look back at this and laugh. And be a wise person who can help out another person in the same situation.

Men are rats, listen to me, they're fleas on rats, worse than that, they're amoebas on fleas on rats. I mean, they're too low for even the dogs to bite. The only man a girl can depend on is her daddy. (Frenchy)

well done on leaving this guy, we all know how heartbreaking it can be...
most of us wouldnt be as brave as you to have our hearts broken by leaving someone like this!!

but in the long run you've done yourself one huge favour!

as for this other guy you mentioned...looks can be deceiving, or so the saying goes!! I've learned not to look at the next available guy as a possible partner, strictly as friends...then if something happens, great. and if nothing happens, no loss or diassappointment.

its true that a guy has to be physicall attractive to you, but in some occasions, once you get to know someone better, looks no longer matter...
