smokey112 - my mum still remembers me and my sis acting up one day at church when we were very little, and her saying "Oh come on, pests!"

"They're not pests," said an older friend, "they're little gifts from God.

And when they're teenagers, they're bigger gifts." :D:D

    Morning all,

It has been a slow start here today, we were woken up by our naughty kitten having a happy half hour which involved running around the bedroom, jumping across both of us, skidding across my dressing table and attacking everything that has fur or feathers attached! Needles to say she saw sent out to the garden for and hour and a half to play and came in all muddy paws and hungry so it seems to have worked. It also gave us a much needed lay in, we have both had probs sleeping recently.

I am currently wondering how I will be abkle to shower as the on off button fell of the shower and the aforementioned naughty kitten managed to lose the bit that makes it go back on again! I think I will have to use the power button on the hall way wall to turn it off?

After showers I will be hopeing to get a little bit of cleaning done, an hours worth of ironing, some of my maths exam paper and decidem what to make for tea.

    Have a nice day everyone!

    Good Morning All (just)

Well its been a busy morning here have clean the house from top to bottom, though had to wait till finnished as DS and DD have a habit of hidding dirty washing (don't ask  ), so the WM is still to go on. Did all the ironing last night while watching relocation, relocation.

The rest of to day is taking up with lectures and trying to prepare a presentation for this class next week. I suffer really badly from stage fright when giving presentations, so have bought some herbal drops from boot to help combat nerves ( I know its all mind over matter but if it helps it helps).

    Breakfast: fruite salad and yogurt
    Lunch: Quiche and baked beans
Dinner: Jacket potatoe and Salad (me) sausage casserole and mash for evryone else.

    Hope eveyone has a goodday

Tiptoes-When I use to give presentations I found that by practising at home speaking out loud in front of a mirror helped. Good luck.

((((woas)))) - sorry to hear of your trouble - surely if you haven't missed a payment then they cant take you to court - my friend works for the Council Tax dept at our local council - but she is on hols just now or I could have phoned her and asked her advice. If I would you I would defo call CAB then I would call the council back again and see if you could talk to someone else who is a bit more amenable (sp)

if you didnt know you where underpaying then surely they should allow you to pay back in affordable amounts to you as it is not as if you have shirked your responsibility

    WOAS

Its their mistake and they cannot make you pay it all back at once, ring again ask to speak to a supervisor and tell them you are in no position to make restitution and as its their fault for underestimating you want to arrange a payment plan. Ask for written details of the debt and an explaination as to why it has taken them so long to find out the mistake. They are trying to bully you into doing something you cannot afford to do, ask them if they would prefer to deal with the OR when they force you to go bankrupt!!!!!!

Then write or phone your MP and ask them to investigate, when a public office gets a letter from an MP they have to reply within a time frame, it used to be 48 hours, it may have changed since I left the civil service.
