I am so pleased with myself today! I have read all the moneysavers' advice on cutting the cost of my shopping. My grocery shopping bills have been coming to in excess of £80 a week, but today I did an order on Tesco.com( I do usually shop online)and I got it down to £33.09-saving around £50! All I did was change my strategy of what I needed and what I didn't,and hey presto,I saved £50!!
  • :p Afternoon

Well, its in!!!!!!!! Doesnt look too bad though:cool: looks like a ride at Alton Towers...LOL. Have "tested" it out and works OK. It comes with a remote control too:confused:....... must read the handbook I suppose to find out. They hoovered down the stairs as well and swept downstairs:eek:

Anyway, washload is now on airer. DW will be on after dinner (lamb, mash, veg for me and Sausage, mash, veg for other 2). Not much else done apart from sorting ironing out and putting clean clothes away. Been upstairs all day in bed and watched Secondhand Lions which is excellent by the way and caught up with reading/coursework for 2nd assessment next week.

Have a GCH check tomorrow morning and SIL here soing some stuff around the house and me ironing. Have had 3 calls today for appointments this and nesxt week but 2 have been put on hold incase I have to stay in hospital for a couple of weeks next monday. Updated accounts and must call Halifax later about a transaction I dont reconise.

I may pop in later, but thanks for all the nice PM's and posts, there greatly appreciated:D

    Afternoon everyone.

It must be something in the air today. There is so much been done by the lot of you.

I managed to clean all the downstairs windows. I was inspired because the window cleaners did the outside, and i realised all the mess was actually on the inside. I then realised what a shocking job they had done on the outside, lazy !!!!!!s. So next time, my sparkly windows will force them to clean properly, and if they don't, i might cancel them altogether.

I've been up to the hospital again for my speech therapy, and thankfully don't have to go again until the 6th of April. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I may get my scan date for the same day so i can be useful with petrol and time.

I finally caught up with DHs muddy washing. He did 12 miles, and had a very sore backside when he got in from his cycling. Poor love. Then he was looking through his cycling magazine to see what else he 'needs' for his trip. He did manage to find a really cute babies outfit, but i banned him from spending money.

I'm going to now go and chop up some stir fry veggies for the evening meal. DH will cook it as he never messes up the wok as badly as i seem to do, so he always takes over.

Enjoy your evening. No doubt i'll have a late one tonight to watch prison break.

Do not want to worry you but DD had pain in right side that did not go away and was operated on for appendicitis 2 weeks ago.

If it does not go away get him to a doctor. If my DH will not go I threaten to ask for a home visit and that makes him get himself there under his own steam/

Thanks Elona ! tried to get him to go this morning but he's really stubborn!
He's had a lot of time off in the past with heart problems and now he's back into fulltime work he doesn't want time off. I think the pains too high up to be the appendix - its more in the ribs. At the moment he's determined to go back to work tomorrow - only complete agony will stop him!
Why is it that men are either"dying" from a cold or won't admit when they're in agony?
    Do what you love :happyhear

Just popping on to say hi :) I haven't had chance to catch up on all the thread yet but will do it after munch has gone to bed and DH has gone out.

Took my nana to the hopsital day surgery today and then spent the following 4 hours in town doing various shopping so I'm knackered now....today I've spent about £111 on food out of my £170 budget  but that includes a big tesco online order which came this morning then a trip to the veg and meat market, tescos again for more bits, lidls and boots. I have pretty much planned most of this months (mar-apr) menus so I don't have much more to buy so hopefully I can buy the milk, veg, cheese etc over the next four weeks with the remaining budget we'll see. :o

Not much else going on still flying. ;) Bit fed up with stuff in general Church is doing my nut in a bit (I still love it but its a long story still no one or thing is perfect hey) and both DH and I would like to move to west sussex but how that would work with his business and buying a house/flat/whatever we could get I don't know. Will just keep plodding on and see if anything comes up after DH trip to Uganda.

I ordered peckish but poor the other day so that should come soon :D and I'm loving dinner lady might make the carrot cake tonight/tomorrow yum yum.

Take care everyone and hugs to those who are poorly or who have poorly littens.
Saving for Disney again, oops why book one Disney holiday when you can book two!

    Afternoon everyone :hello:

Haven't had much of a chance to post on here for the past couple of days - been really busy and the PC is acting up

Anyway, (((hugs))) to all in need - through illness or loss.

I've been rushing around somuch this past few days, I feel as if I could just crawl into bed right now and sleep. In fact, I dropped DS1 off at school this morning, then on to DS2'spre-school and onward to mum's. Hal-way to mum's I remembered DS2 was still in the car - auto-pilot had kicked in :rotfl: At least it wasn't the other way round and I'd LEFT him somewhere else :D

Today I've done a couple loads of washing and the rads are currently full. Did all the rest of the ironing last night, just in time to refill the basket :D Managed to put a lovely beef and veg casserole in the SC before I left this morning and BM is now on. I'll have to transfer our bedding to the TD soon too. Loos cleaned and I'll give bathroom the once over after boys have bathed tonight. General tidying done this aft and even remembered to sort out my CC BT and cancel my free dvd trial.

So, how come with all this stuff I've been doing, the 'untidy fairy' still looks like she lives here? Ah, boys - that's why. Oh well, they'll all be grown up one day and I'll have a quiet, clean, tidy but empty house :(

Ok, off to referee WWIII which has broken out downstairs. Have a good evening :)

    Good Evening Everyone

PP - good to hear you have your lift in.
Catowen - hope you managed to eat something, I made the carrot cake yesterday, it's scrumptious, even better today.
FF - sorry that the children are both still ill, hope they get better soon.

Hugs to Everyone who needs one.

Spent the morning in town, choosing new glasses for DS3. Then had a good look round to see if I could buy everything I need locally thus avoiding the supermarket.

I should, but need to watch the budget so I am having a local Organic firm deliver most of my bulky/heavy stuff eg flour, sugar, washing powder, tins. They deliver to my area free on a Wednesday. This will save petrol/bus fare.

I'll buy my fruit/veg from the local market or farmshop along with meat and eggs. Milkman delivers the milk.

It's going to be quite a challenge as I buy eco friendly stuff.

DH just gone off to work (nightshift) so best go and sort supper out for the boys. DD playing netball tonight, WD, she hasn't played this position before so will have match/performance report on her return home.

Have a good evening everyone, hope OS's having trouble sleeping manage to get some rest.
