Having a really busy day today. Washed dishes, cleaned out under the sink cupboard then I tackled all the clutter from the bedrooms that I sorted last week, the charity and ebay piles into "Charity or Freecycle" and "Ebay" piles. Got 1 load of washing out and 1 just finishing so I'm off to wash 1 pans that have been in to soak and set too on parceling up the ebay items I've received payment for. £35+ so far and I have another £15+ finishing today. Well worth it I think.

The lesson learnt last week was how not to save money in the Aril household!....OH forgot his dentist's appt so that cost us £30 and he told me about it just as I had cut my finger on the breadknife [bloomin HM lunches!] so was not best pleased but had to eat a double portion of humble pie as the nice policeman's camera took a picture of my marvellous driving and I can't blame anyone but myself. Just waiting for that nice little letter now.......... so the pin money has gone from actual to virtual overnight!
Having said all that had a fab OS day yesterday. Spent the morning tidying the borders en famille and it felt good spreading our own compost on them. Took advantage of the sunshine and took ourselves out for a stroll round the local nature reserve in the afternoon before coming home to HM shepherd's pie that I'd made the day before. OH and I spent a relaxed evening finishing the wine and doing a puzzle together.
Today I've done an exam and then I've got to do a college assignment when I get home before my friend drops by. Consequently I've defrosted what I hope are 2 portions of mixed bean supper and one of liver...if not then it'll have to be pizza and chips!

Hi Yall, I just started to post and then realised I don't really have anything to say, not that that usually stops me LOL.

Had a good time at the coast, cold but dry. I saw some old friends, did loads of walking, even more eating (gained 2 lbs:rolleyes: just by looking through a cake shop window).

I've not much to do in the house today cos we've been away all weekend so it's as clean and tidy as I left it on friday. Been to Aldi and spent £60:eek: I almost had to be help to my car I was in shock.

Mrs MATH has not heard about the Boots job. They said they would let her know late last week/early this. The longer times goes on the less hope we have. I really don't know what we will do if this one doesn't pan out. I'm almost too fed up with it all to even worry now.

Good news about the lift PP. Sleeping in your own bed how exciting, I hope Mr PP behaves/misbehaves himself. *Delete as appropriate. LOL

Bargain Rzl Have you thought about taking Holy Orders to escape your man trouble. I wathced Nuns on the run once and it looked good fun.:D

Pooky My thoughts are with you regarding the costume manufacture. With three dramatic MATHLETTS in shows, dancing and singing comps this place resembles the Dolly Dodd School for Dramatic Arts sometimes. I'm currently rustling up a 5yr old Rat and an 8yr old Buxom Wench. Love the cushions BTW.

Talking of Men eh... as some of you were. My five year old is doing science week last week and one of the projects was to take apart an old radio to see how it worked. The (female) teacher was having a bit of trouble getting the back off when one of the little 5yr old girls pipes up "Mrs ...... you need a man for that job!!!!!" hehehehehe Out of the mouths of babes and sucklings eh!:p :D

Do not want to worry you but DD had pain in right side that did not go away and was operated on for appendicitis 2 weeks ago.

If it does not go away get him to a doctor. If my DH will not go I threaten to ask for a home visit and that makes him get himself there under his own steam/

Finally have DD back at school so decide as I have some time and space I can clean the double oven and mop the large kitchen and even larger hall floors.

    11a m and DH walks in!!!! GRHH:eek:

Managed to clean ovens using curry queen's trick of bicarb of soda and vinegar left for a while to fizz and then cleaned off.

Made huge pot of soup in slow cooker for DH and made him feel so guilty he has just brought me a pot of tea!

Aw - he has his uses lol!

  • Pooky - your cushions are fab - are they really made from old denim shirts? They're fantastic!!!
Squares knitted for my throw ~ 90 (yes!!! I have finally finished it :rotfl: )
Squares made for my patchwork quilt ~ 80 (only the "actual" quilting to do now :rotfl:)
