I signed up for the Primus talk plan 2 offer with Uswitch in March. Has anyone received their monthly £5 rebate for this? I've just been checking through my primus bills and my bank statements and can't see them anywhere :(

Oops sorry, didn't look at the bottom of the board properly, sounds like I should have receved them in July/August so I'll call them tomorrow and find out what's going on.

Yes I called them on Monday and spoke to a very cheerful scot who kept singing when he was looking for my details on the computer
He too said that I would get the £30 refunded to my next bill ('you'll probably never have to pay for phone calls again' he added cheerfully!!).
He said a lot of people had phoned up about this - that was before Martin's email went out so I imagine they've been flooded now.
Anyone know if we're entitled to ask for the money to be paid back to our bank account instead?

I haven't had my £15 paid yet. However when I joined I asked what would happen if I never managed to spend all my rebated money. I was informed by customer services that should I leave Primus and therefore not require the money in my Primus account any more then I could phone up and have my credit refunded to my bank account.
Will have to wait and see though...

I signed up with Primus for the Saver 2 package; ie: no monthly fee plus rebate. There was some some confusion during the sign up process and I was put onto a a Freetalk package, £2.99/month with £5/month rebate. I 'phoned Primus and pointed out the problem, they immediately put me on the Saver 2 package before I paid anything. After 3 months a £15 credit appeared on my Primus statement. I 'phoned them again to see if somehow I was back on a Freetalk package, to be told that I was on Saver 2 but because I had originally been on a Freetalk package (for about 2 days !) I was entitled to the rebate for 12 months.
    What an excellent company !
  • Been with primus six months so I thought I would ask what about my refund. Gentleman on other end said I had to make at least one call during the day to qualify but admitted the uswitch website did not make that plain. He clicked away on his computer for a bit and then said my refund would appear next bill. I await. Drawback of having an Orchid router sending calls via 1899.

Is anyone else still having problems getting their rebate from Primus/Planet Talk?

I have sent emails and tried contacting them by phone, but as yet, no rebate despite being told it would be applied to my next bill.

Any advice on next steps to try would be very welcome. Thanks!

Yes. I have to phone them after each bill saying "where's the next £15 you promised when I called after last month's bill?" There's always some excuse or other. In 10 months connection I have received only one £15 credit - the "no chargeable calls" excuse applied in two of these months, but even so, I am now overdue a further £15.

To cap it all, I received an email yesterday saying that the next bill was ready - no sign of it on the website though. I think you may want to regard offers from this firm with deep suspicion.

I also received an email yesterday stating that my next bill was ready but was unviewable until today. My broadband bill is not showing on any of my bills just my telephone calls. I telephoned last month and I was told there was a computer problem with my bills and that was why I could not view it online but it would be fixed for this month. I looked at my bill today and I cannot see my broadband charges either so I telephoned them and was told that customer services could do nothing about it and I had to send an email. I have sent an email, now it is a matter of waiting for them to respond but I am still waiting on them to respond to last months email.

Planettalk are now suggesting that one month was recorded as having no chargeable calls. The cutoff date for calls was three days before the date of end of billing, and the (one) chargeable call then rolled over to the next month. Because of this the whole quarter's credit is forfeited and I have to commence a new sequence of three months of bills in which payable calls were made before any further credit can be accrued.

Has someone saved a copy of the T&Cs for the original Uswitch offer that could be published on the thread or PM'd?
