  • haha my DS was the same, didn't speak a word til he was coming up for 2 1/2, seemed like he went from silence to being a chatterbox in the space of a fortnight!!
He certainly makes up for it now, from the moment he wakes up, he never stops, 'why?' seems to be his favourite question and he asks the oddest things like, before he went to bed last night, I tucked him in, kissed him nn and went to leave room, conversation went as follows:
DS: Mum, can I tell you a question?
    Me: ok....
    DS: why do snakes slither?
Me: (a bit confused) well, they do it to move about
    DS: why?
Me: cos they have no legs
    DS why?
Me: ............ I honestly don't know, go to sleep

At least they get you thinking eh?

DD2 is a why and how girl, as the questions keep coming one after the other it normally ends up 'just because they do' instead of 'me tell you a question', i get 'me tell you a word'.....:D

Happy birthday, Noah's Penniless Mum...hope its a good one.

Bright and sunny here and then heavy showers so not a day for putting out clothes.

Chicken legs, roast veg and potatoes for dinner...not doing pudding as don't need one, no doubt OH will need something like ice-cream and tinned fruit, will try to abstain, fruit ok but really should not be having ice cream...we get this lovely vanilla stuff from Lidl, usually €4.99 for 2.5 litres, was on offer last week for €3.49 so bought some even 'though we already had some!

Welcome to newbies, congratulations to all who are celebrating and hugs to all who are in need or want

Hello all. Anyone remember me? I've been MIA for a bit.

Been trying to get started on spring cleaning, with mixed success - got 2 lots of curtains washed and rehung, but the weather's gone horrible so the sofa cover and rest of the curtains are going to have to wait.

Lots of baking going on - made a carrot & orange cake yesterday, first time I've tried the recipe, and still waiting for Mr LW's verdict.:whistle:

Also, I've had him home for 2 days. Yesterday was planned, as he was on early shift, but today the chap who was supposed to do the early morning checks overslept, so Mr LW ended up doing them, and his boss told him to work from home again and knock off at 15:30:dance:

Anyway, I've fallen a bit behind on what's happening with everyone, so I'll just say that I hope everyone is well and happy, and a big ((((HUG)))) for anyone who wants/needs one today.

All the huge pot of soup has been eaten and Italian bread turned out really well.
