Five minute sanity saver...
Little bear grabbed at the packet of cress seeds and they went everywhere - I shall be watching the carpet for signs of sprouting though I think I got it all up. Also some 'planted' on kitchen roll.
Recipe on packet - soften an onion in some olive oil, add around 200g of cress (sprouted of course), pint stock and half pint of orange juice. Simmer 5 mins, puree and add 240 ml plain yoghurt. Any suggestions for substituting orange juice - neither me nor little bear are keen.
Mummysaver - will pray for your little one. It is such a frightening time. Hope all is well, but they can do so much these days.
Must dash - little bear was left with an egg custard. It is horrible weather here but he insisted that he wanted to go out. So we staggered to the nearest shop, which sells egg custards (about the healthiest thing that they sell there!) and back by which time little bear was thoroughly disapproving of the weather.

Happy birthday NoahsPennilessMum
Mummysaver, I will keep all my fingers crossed that all is well.
Sorry, I hope you guys don't mind me posting on your thread, but Ivyleaf mentioned that you're all really friendly! :cheesy:
I've learnt so much from the OS board these past few weeks and have put them into practice big time! My freezer is jam-packed with casseroles, soups and bolognaise! I have trained my OH to switch everything off when he's finished with it and I have followed loads of other tips too.
My OH did look at me a bit defeated last night when I made him use one tea-bag for both of us, he just laughed and said "honey, surely I work hard enough to have my own teabag?!" Ivyleaf, you're right, I probably should have let him have his own, he does pay for the groceries after all! :rotfl:
He'll thank me when the bills go down! Also, I got my slow cooker last night, and I can't wait to try it out (does that make me sad?!)
Not much is happening at work, its so quiet, that I'm looking through the slow cooker recipes on the OS board, there's so many I can't wait to try!

wannbe sybil - That recipe sounds quite odd, i don't think I'd try it at all! I'd rather put the cress in a sindwich with some egg mayo0
