Graham White Soliciters Over Apcoa Parking Fines
Comments
-
Hi there,
I thought I'd take the time to write a message for this thread to allay the fears of some people out there who will recently have been sent one of these awful intimidating letters.
Over the last few months I have been sent numerous letters from Graham White Solicitors regarding an APCOA fine relating to a railway car park. I had actually paid for my ticket by phone, however it wasn't within the 30 mins that you're supposed to pay it, as I couldn't get reception once I was on the train.
On the advice of this thread I ignored the letters. They became more and more threatening, and then, all of a sudden, they stopped. The last time I heard from Graham White Solicitors was January.
For those of you who have received a letter regarding a parking fine - don't pay it. Just ignore it. Nothing bad will happen to you.
I think it would be worthwhile also setting up a separate thread for people to report the success they have had in ignoring these letters. This would give people who have only just received letters the confidence to be able to just ignore them straight away.

Thanks for posting, it's good to see it confirmed by lots of people that it's SAFE TO IGNORE PRIVATE PARKING TICKETS, nothing happens except letters/calls.
We already have a top sticky thread showing all the letters people have ignored successfully, that always helps people joining this forum for the first time:

Not sure that we need another one because everyone succeeds in ignoring these cowboys - the only exceptions being very questionable/stooge posters, IMHO.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Letter no.3 this one from Graham White, not Roxburghe.
Says that this letter is a notice of intended legal action, and they may seek a warrant of execution which would allow a bailiff to attend at the property amongst other legal jargon.
I know you will probably say keeping ignoring etc but it aint nice!0 -

It's all part of their game-plan - "let's frighten the poor sucker into paying up". What a despicable business it all is.What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
may, may, amy, may, may.....shorthand for won't, won't, won't, won't.
I MAY come round your house, pour petrol over your pet hamster and set it on fire and then cut you up into little bits....but do you think I really WILL do this??? It's the same with these threatograms.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why then you're as thick and stupid as the moderators on here - MSE ForumTeam0 -

It is Roxburghe, they send the GW letters; same office. Did you look at the link above (post # 243)?

The top thread on this very forum shows pictures of all the letters so there's no need to panic & come here posting some of the jargon. Not only that, IIRC the top sticky also has a 'Roxburghe' heading, showing how Roxburghe pass themselves off as Graham White in their template letters (a link to pepipoo forums with info about the office templates used by Roxburghe).
The info is all there if only everyone would simply read the stickies. Sorry to sound jaded, there have been sooooo many questions today, ALL of which are already covered by the sticky threads!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I just want to say thank you to everyone for all your help. My Dad has been getting harassed from these cowboy companies using bully boy tactics, and the help provided in this forum has helped put his mind at rest.0

I joined DW Gym in Canterbury about 11 months ago, shortly after that Parkingeye took over the car park. All members were asked to register their car number plates to avoid confusion and fines. I did this and thought nothing more about it until two months ago when I received a letter from parkingeye (more like browneye) informing me I’d stayed in the car park for over two hours and there for had a fine of £60! being a bit peeved I rang the Gym and complained about the fine considering the amount I’m paying for my membership and stated that for the amount I’m paying I should get my own private parking space, they informed me it must be an error and somehow my number plate must have come off the system. DW gym said they would contact parking eye to remove the fine and that within a couple of weeks I would receive a letter confirming the ticket was cleared. So far all I have received are more threatening letters from parking eye, apparently I now owe £120 and am on my "FINAL NOTICE"! I have contacted the gym again and they inform me it has been dealt with! Perhaps someone should tell parking eye that, I would love too but they don’t provide you with a telephone number on the letters. I hope to see them in court soon so I can tell them exactly what I think of them. Also not too impressed with the way DW has dealt with this matter!:mad::mad:0

No more phone calls, you need to complain in writing to the Gym, to the top Manager.
In your shoes I would write all this down and put the complaint in an envelope and hand it in marked for the 'personal and private attention of the Gym Manager' by name (ask at the Gym if you don't know the name). If the reception staff ask what it is tell them it's a complaint.
Finish your complaint by saying it's making you reconsider renewing your membership if they actually think it's good customer service to allow their paying customers to be harassed/restricted to 2 hours parking by a third party scam company (tell them to Google the name 'Parking Eye and look at their reputation on current discussion forums...). Demand an answer to the question that if a member wants to attend a class and have a workout (swim?), followed by a shower and a coffee, why on earth should they be penalised for daring to park there?
Oh, and definitely enclose with your complaint a copy of ALL the threatograms received so far and ask if the Manager was aware of the groundless, lying threats about Court action and CCJs which go out to their customers? Most retail and gym sites never see that side of the contract they have signed up to - they have just fallen for the 'we will sort out your parking problems for free' spiel and will not have a clue about the letter-chain that follows each fake 'PCN'.
Obviously ignore Parking Eye but hit them where it hurts. It's only with serious complaints to the 'hand that feeds' these parasites that they will start to lose contracts.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
