I used the comparison tool, and although Fonebank was not the highest price, the positive comments on this board made me go with this company rather than the others. I posted phone (Nokia N95) on Friday and the postman delvered my cheque on Tuesday morning. (and it didn't bounce!). Excellent smooth process from Fonebank. Well done, people!

Yep, top service. Cheque received for full amount quoted within 3 days. And my phone wasn't in great shape.

I had a good experience with Fonebank. Sent my phone away on the Saturday morning, got an e-mail confirming its arrival on the Tuesday and the cheque for £40 arrived on the Wednesday. Very happy with the service.

Just used Fonebank to recycle my Nokia 6500 slide.

• Was it fast and efficient? Absolutely. I particularly liked that the Fonebank website explained what they mean by working vs non-working.
• Did you get your cash promptly? YES! Filled in the online forms on Sunday, posted the phone Monday, got email receipt of delivery on Tuesday, received cheque in the post on Wednesday. It couldn't have happened more quickly!
• Did you have any problems? None
• Did it pay what it said it would? Yes, I'm delighted with my 50 quid.

Based on my (admittedly limited) experience, I'd thoroughly recommend Fonebank.

Although they might not appear at the top of Mobile Selling Checker moneywise. I can thoroughly recommend FoneBank. I sent off my old Sony Ericsson K850 to them last Wednesday via their freepost service. Although I paid an extra 75p for recorded delivery on top, just to know that they had received it ok. I received an email on Friday to say that they'd accepted my phone. Then received a cheque in the post the following Tuesday. So money received in less than a week which is really fast service. Very impressed. Would use again and would recommend to anyone.

What can I say. Selected Fonebank out of all the rest due to the high recommendations on moneysaving expert.com. Yet another happy customer. Can't fault the service and quick turnaround ! Posted Tuesday, Cheque received Friday for the full amount quoted on the website. I sold 10 handsets, 3 non working, 7 working but very well used with worn / damaged covers and no quibbles. Excellent turnaround times.

Well I certainly didn't receive good service from this outfit. I sent in an iPhone 3G 16GB. The package was received as confirmed by them, but the phone was no longer inside. They admitted that the package appeared to have been tampered with.

Foolishly I had not gone for recorded or registered mail and just used the freepost service. Big mistake. Although my experience would suggest maybe a rogue element at Fonebank. Or perhaps the Royal Mail.

Lesson is, always insure your mail for such high value items.
