Based on my recent experience using this company I can only describe their service as impeccable.
They gave the second highest valuation of my Nokia 5800. I mailed the phone to them using their freepost address and received an email from them advising that they had received the phone 3 working days after posting. 2 days after that the agreed upon amount arrived into my bank account. I must just add that it was a calculated risk using the freepost address, obviously depending on the value of your phone you may choose to use on of Royal Mails services that offer a level of compensation should the phone not arrive at its destination.
I would not hesitate to use or recommend this company to anyone in the future.

Just like the above, I chose Fonebank for the level of payment AND this feedback thread, sent mine freepost with proof of posting, e-mail 2 days later, payment 2 days after that :)
No hassle and perfect service, a definate recommendation from me all round 10/10.
I sold my 2 year old nokia 5800 that I won on the pepsi promo, fot £51, bought an Orange San Francisco and being a local authority worker got it PLUS £20 top up for £99.00. I am transferring the SIM baslance between 2 Orange SIMs I use solely for Orange Wednesdays for the family.
I am using a GiffGaff PAYG SIM which I yop up with £10 a month with free unlimited internet, unlimited texts and 250 minutes. I have signed up 4 friends and they each got an extra £5 credit when they first topped up and I received 500 points (£5 credit) for each one, so I don't need to pay for a topup for a couple of months. I would recommend the San Francisco as a cheap and good entry level android phone and it is easy to unlock for free. If anyone wants the links to how to get GiffGaff and unlocking the San Francisco just PM me.

    Hi

I used fone bank to sell 2 old mobiles a sony ericcson satio and a sony ericcson c510, Fone bank gave the highest price £82 for oth i posted the phones on monday paying a little extra for special delivery they emailed on tuesday to say they had recieved the phones and checked them and they posted the cheque the same day. I recieved the cheque today (wednesday).

Best service I have recieved from any mobile phone recycling service would definitely recommend.

I went with Fonebank because whilst they didn't offer the highest price for my old phone, they did have the best feedback on here, and well deserved it is too. I posted my phone by special delivery on Tuesday, got confirmation email on Wednesday, and have just checked my account and money for the full amount is there, at 1am on Friday. No hassle, and super fast service :)

Same here, again the price was slightly off the highest (£130 instead of £140) but after reading about them and more to the point some of their competitors (mobilephonexchange for example) i decided they were a much safer bet.

Phone sent recorded monday, received tuesday, money left their account wednesday and was with me by thursday

no complaints, would happily use again

Like other postings, I read feedback of dodgy dealings from the better offers on MobileValuer but with the good feedback on FoneBank, I thought I'd risk it despite the "we won't return the 'phone in any circumstances" in the T&C.
Posted the 'phone on Monday morning; e-mail received Tuesday confirming receipt; cheque on my doormat on Wednesday morning; fantastic service...!
The only downside was the Royal Mail charging £5.90 for Special Delivery.:T

    NOTE TO MARTIN LEWIS
In light of the damning reviews on some companies, why are they still included in the Valuer software?

Just wanted to add my feedback for great service from fonebank

I recycled my old iphone 8gb. Fonebank was a couple of £ less than the top offer but after reading the feedback here I decided to go with them

I sent my phone on Monday (by recorded delivery to be safe) and received full payment as per the original offer on Thursday into my bank.

I also got £3 cashback via quidco!

I would absolutely recommend them to anyone
  • I was searching to sell a Nokia 5800 and logged onto Martins site on Thursday 11th August. Read the reviews and Fonebank was offering the second highest price (then) and having read poor reviews from the top site, signed up with Fonebank. Took my phone to the Post Office that afternoon and sent it Special Delivery. The following morning I had an email from Fonebank confirming receipt of the phone and dispatch of my cheque. The cheque arrived (full amount) Saturday 13th.
    Excellent service :T
  • Posted Thursday, cheque arrived Saturday.

I have just recycled four phones for the first time with this company. Placed the order yesterday and sent package Freepost only not registered. Obtained a Certificate of posting, got email this afternoon stating that cheque has been posted 1st class. Will confirm date of receipt of cheque when received. If this all happens within 3 days - it will be excellent as I live in Northern Ireland.

Having read feedback on other companies who offered much more money I took less in favour of better customer service. I hope not to be dissappointed.
