  • Used Fonebank to trade in my Nokia 5800. Posted it on Wednesday - cheque for the full amount arrived Friday. Now that's what I call excellent service!! Little tip though - don't jump straight in after you get a price for the phone. Check prices over a week or so because on Monday it was offering £79 (which is what I got) then by Saturday it had dropped to £72!!

Hello i have used them last week ,nokia 5800 i payed for postage because if its lost in you get £35.Sent it Wednesday got a email Friday, money Saturday full amount.I have now used them 4 times with no hassel.
  • I used Fone Bank to get rid of several old phones and 1 newer phone - Nokia 6220 Classic. They weren't the best prices - 2nd highest, but they had the best reviews so decided to hedge my bets. Placed my order on the Sunday - e-mail confirmation came through straight away. As I also clicked through TopCashback my cashback also displayed straight away - nice little extra. Didn't get around to sending phones until Thursday (special delivery) but had an e-mail Friday to say had received phones and the cheque turned up in the post on the Saturday. :j Will definitely be using them again in the future.
  • Not best price - only by £2-3 though - but sent phone off Weds 1st class recorded delivery, got email the following day confirming reciept, then got cheque for £71 in post the day after that.

    Top draw, ultra-efficient service.
  • Highly Recommended! Reasonable price for my phone. Very quick service, cheque arrived in 3 days. Very pleased

Highly recommend the Fonebank which was chosen on the basis of the feedback here. Fair prices paid and an excellent & fast service.

    Very efficient to deal with
Sorry I can't think of anything profound, clever or witty to write here.
  • Just thought I would leave feedback on Fonebank as I tend to refer to feedback myself. My experience was very positive. I had an HTC Hero to sell. I placed the order on Sunday 9th January, received confirmation email on 10th, posted phone on 11th (via recorded delivery), received confirmation that the phone had been received on the 12th with advice that my cheque was being forwarded that day. Cheque received for full amount on Thursday 13th January and put in bank on 14th. Quidco has been validated for £3.00 which will go towards the cost of postage.
    Outstanding service from this company.
  • I sent off 4 phones to Fonebank and paid for the 'insured' service with the Post Office (just in case). Received an e mail the next day saying that they had been received and monies were in my bank account a couple of days later - an excellent service. My only regret is that I did not use a comparison service for valuing the phones (you featured it in your e mail Martin two days after I sent them!) Whilst I didn't get the best price for one of the phones...the other three were not far off. So all in all a great service and not too much of a pain to pack them up using a jiffy bag.
  • Can't fault this company in my experience. I'd shipped my phone to them on a Friday and the money was in my bank on the Monday! You can't ask for much more than that!

They don't use 'sales packs' either which means as long as you have envelopes etc to hand you can really speed up your deal!

Only downer is that TopCash seems to be really struggling to chase the sales... so the big £3.03 offered for a new customer looks like it will never materialise. Can't have everything I guess??
