Like Pinkie, I'm still waiting for them to process my order from 6 weeks ago!
The mopay email is utterly useless, but try contacting them via shp, the parent company: http://www.shplimited.co.uk/direct.aspx
I tired phoning, was told someone would call back. They never did.
Emails to that SHP address do get through, but their reply was less than reassuring: '...technical issues... causing backlogs....'

Handset sent on 19 April, almost 6 weeks still marked as "awaiting handset". Called countless times, the lady alway asked for my telephone number and promised to return my call (a couple of times, she said she would mark it as "urgent", but I think it doesn't make ANY difference), just like everyone else's experience, they never did.
Just wondering whether there is any watchdog for this industry to whom we can make a complaint?
How disgusting!:mad::mad::mad:0 -
1) You need to get it in writing; if they HAVE received the handset, send a LBA then sue for the promised amount.
2) If they claim NOT to have received it, at least you can claim compensation from Royal Mail up to about £42 - more if sent Special Delivery. It will help if you at least have proof of postage (not necessarily Recorded Delivery) - although that is not a requirement in making your claim. Royal Mail will take their time and write to the recipient to confirm non-receipt - but if you can supply their written confrimation (to you) of non-receipt you can circumvent that little requirement (in case Mopay ignore Royal Mail's letter).0 -
Sent the Samsung Wave to the company after waiting over a week for the envelope back in Mar. In Jun still nothing paid after several attempts to email the company only excuses and then nothing. It looks as if they have also removed log in details from account in the hope it will go away. Be very careful recycling with this company. Bad communication no return calls and head in the sand response.:mad:0

Well, after two months, a cheque arrived in the post today!! I had completely given up on it - so, in a way, it was a nice surprise! So, if you have sent off your phone, be patient, I got the full amount (the phone was immaculate mind).

I used them a couple of months ago. Sent in my nokia n97 and got the cheque less than a week later.
I did use recorded delivery and took loads of photos of it, including battery connectors, switched on, screen etc. incase they tried to claim it was not working and made sure it was well protected in a box.
I would use again0 -
Hi, Do not use this company, what a nightmare its been. Taken about 3 weeks to receive my payment, which was dramatically reduced. Finally found out the reason why, said it was cos the keypad was incomplete.(it was fine)All i can say about this company is that they are cybernet theives. Well, I finally got my cash after waiting 2 months!!! Since my previous emails and phonecall, I emailed again and was just ignored.
Their terms and conditions are rubbish, they clearly can't be @®$£d with customer care & given the vast choice of mobile phone recyclers, I would won't touch Mopay again with a barge pole!

Mopay.co.uk will do its utmost to ensure payment is made within the timeframes above but cannot accept responsibility for delays in post or system downtime through third party systems.
Delays happen... but taking over 8 weeks!?!?!
mopay.co.uk wrote:...The most likely reason for any delay in payment is either a result of postal strike, system downtime or an unexpected surge in order placements. In any of these circumstances you will be notified of any payment/processing delays.
We recommend that you wait up to 10 working days for your payment and if you have not heard anything from us or received payment, please email us at contact@mopay.co.uk and we will respond within 24 hours to update you on your order status.
Not only were they not proactive in notifying of delays, all my attempts to contact them initially failed, then latterly were simply ignored. On the one attempt they gave wet excuses for dealys, they didn't even apologise!
[Huge] delays are one thing, plain courtesy is another.
Overall, a rude & disgraceful shambles of a company0
