Sent my phone off, (Nokia N73 - £56 value) to these people on July 20th, have certificate of posting and still not had anything back from them.

4 weeks wait?? I called them last week and was told the post was the problem. I call today and have to leave an answer message, no-one answering...very dubious.

I am not happy. No doubt they will try and blame the post and I will be out of pocket.

That's the same model of phone that I lost in the post to Mopay. Sadly I did not get proof of postage.

I recently sent a phone for recycling to mopay. I have never had problems using other sites. Mopay said there had been postal problems after 2 weeks. They then said contact at the end of the week, I did and they said that the phone had been lost and i should make a claim with the royal mail. I didnt track the post so I have no basis for a claim. £61 lost. I wouldn't recommend mopay as there seems to be a lot of bad feedback out there and questionable dealings. Also always track your parcels!!
  • I sent MoPay my Sidekick Slide in the prepaid envelope back in mid-August and my account STILL says "Awaiting Handset". They replied to only one of my follow-up emails, confirming they'd been having problems with Freepost items sent via Royal Mail and asking that I wait 15 days. It's been two months and, despite chasing them by email, I've received no further response. Not happy!

    Hi MSEs
I enjoyed my first experience with Mopay. Although I did fear that it would end in disaster - i ignored everyones advice and:
    1) sent my 2 phones in one of their freepost pouches
    2) without registering the delivery
    3) without writing my details on a slip attached to the phones

But today (3 weeks later) i received my cheque in the post.
Slow - but will use again. :)

I sent my phone to Mopay on the 19th still haven't heard anything, saying on website awaiting handset, yet I sent 2 others to phones4cash the same day and received the cheque last week!

Ive emailed Mopay with no response! I have proof of postage so will see how far that gets me, but I wouldn't touch Mopay with a barge pole ever again if I was thinking of recycling my next phone.

It seems it doesn't matter if you send it recorded or not, they will still say they didn't receive the phone!

Is there a way to get our money from them!?

    Was it fast and efficient?
Absolutely not! 3 weeks on & no cash paid yet. Yes there have been bank holidays recently, but surely some of their staff must have been working last week.

Did you get your cash promptly?
No, still waiting. Hopefully I get what I'm due eventually, but Mopay is certainly not fast/efficient/prompt.

    Did you have any problems?
Yes, difficulty in simply just emailing them a query. In reply to my emails last week I just got repeated automated messages saying: "Delivery to the following recipient has been delayed". This week emails to their address are bouncing back immediately as 'undelivered'.

I'm also having huge problems with them and can honestly say i will NOT be using them again, they never respond to emails and have had my phones for 5 weeks now, all emails bounce back or say ''delayed''.

I sent two phones to Mopay on 10th May, my account still says awaiting handsets. I've emailed several times and never received a reply so have tried ringing - at least ten times, the recorded message says the systems are down and to leave a message - What a surprise nobody has gotten back to me as they said they would.

I have proof of posting but unfortunately I didn't get recorded delivery - I sent it in the envelope that was sent out!!!! Big mistake!

I guess thats the £85 they quoted me that I've just waved goodbye to!!!!!

    UTTERLY DISGUSTED!!!!!!!!!

    Any advice????
