I posted off three phones off to Love2recycle, they quoted a good price for them. I recieved an email off them saying there would be a delay in them sending me the cheques, after two weeks I still hadn't recieved any money off them so i emailed them asking them what was going on. Three days later I recieved three cheques of them. A good serive but they are very slow at paying for the phones!0
-
Took weeks to send my cheque and when it finally arrived it bounced.

Personally would AVOID at all costs.0 -
Sent a phone to them and heard nothing. The an email telling me there was a delay and I should have the money by 10 days MAX. I aksed them to confirm it would be £7 as it was £2 for the phone and £5 for using the special offer. They emailed back saying "yes that is correct".
At the 10 day point - no cheque so I emailed them.
They they said - chq on the way for £2.
NO MENTION OF ANY APOLOGY.
I emailed back saying it should be £7 and explained they had already confirmed this.
They emailed back saying that their emails are generic and I should get a £5 Voucher.
I emailed back saying I dont want a voucher I want a chq for the full amount.
I know its only a small amount but thats not the point.
I dont have very good feelings about this company.
:mad:I am NOT a mortgage & insurance adviser - or anything to do with finance, that was put on by the new system I dont know why?!0 -
They quoted the best price for my phone however it took a month for the cheque to arrive. Not long after receiving the cheque I got an email explaining the cheque may bounce as it had an incorrect sort code printed on it. Put the cheque throught 48 hours ago...to date it hasnt bounced...0

Hi AllLove2Recycle = Love2Email, Love2DoNothing, Hate2WriteCheques
Not impressed with this company at all!! I traded in 06 mobile phones in February to take advantage of Love2Recycle's extra £5 per mobile promo. Since then all I've received is misleading emails and excuses.
Below I have copied Love2Recycle's latest email sent to me today [19th March]. Below that I have copied my response which explains all.
Quote:
Many thanks for sending Love2Recycle your old mobile phone. It has now undergone testing with our technical team and we have found the following problem:
You traded a Motorola V3688 as working. However according to our grading the handset is actually faulty (no power, faulty keypad).
Because of this difference, our revised offer is to pay you £1.00.
Please let us know within 7 days if you accept or reject the revised offer. To do so, please reply to this email.
If you reject the offer we will return the handset to you free of charge.
If we do not hear from you by then we will continue to process your handset at the revised offer.
Regards,

Hi
I cannot believe that you have sent me this email.
The six mobile phones I traded in with your company were all clean and in mint condition. I tested every mobile phone and restored the factory settings on each. I would be amazed if you have ever received six mobile phones in such perfect condition. I bubble wrapped each mobile phone and placed them inside a bubble lined box. I packed them in such a manner that there was no movement within the box and the mobiles were cushioned on all sides. The Motorola V3688 in question was in full working order when it was sent to you. To inform me that this mobile will not power up and has a faulty keyboard is nonsense.
Your company is a joke! You have mismanaged my trade in order from day one. Let me enlighten you:
- Trade in order actioned on-line in February to take advantage of your £5 extra per mobile promo
- Welcome pack never received
- Your company contacted by phone. I was informed that a Welcome pack will be posted to me and your £5 extra per mobile promo will be honoured
- Welcome pack received and mobile phones posted to you by 1st class Recorded Delivery
- 03rd March, email from you stating that total value of phones traded in is £18.50
- 04th March I emailed to inform you that the total value is £48.50. You had not added the extra £5 per phone [x6]. Email response received stating that extra £5 per phone promo not shown in email, apologies and confirmation that an extra £5 per phone will be paid
- 09th March, email from you stating that a systems problem had resulted in payments being delayed
- 13th March, emails from you stating that I will receive individual cheques for my phones within a couple of days BUT the value of each cheque does not include an extra £5. Your company contacted by phone. I was informed that extra £5 per phone promo not shown in emails, apologies and confirmation that an extra £5 per phone will be added and cheques received will be for the correct amount
- 18th March, email from you stating that you have now discovered printing errors on the cheques that I have recently received and instructions on how to cash them. I HAVE NOT RECEIVED ANY CHEQUES!!
- 19th March, email from you stating that Motorola V3688 mobile phone has tested faulty
Your original offer for the Motorola V3688 mobile phone was £2 plus £5 extra [promo]. In light of your appalling track record so far, to then inform me that this phone has tested faulty in order to save yourself £1 is pathetic.
I don't want to hear of any more operating problems, get your act together, you owe me £48.50 and I require payment immediately. I am now making time of the essence.
In February I also traded in mobile phones with Mazuma, Mobile Phone Exchange and Mobile Phone Buyer. All three processed my trade in orders without a hitch and the money is in my bank.
I obtained the link to your website from MoneySavingExpert.com. I am a forum member and will certainly inform Martin Lewis and other members and guests of my experience with Love2Recycle.com.
Regards
I would think very carefully before entrusting your unwanted mobys to this company!!
Should I ever receive payment I will of course add an edit to this post.** Cheques Received - See new post below **

Hi All
It would appear that my email to Love2Recycle did the trick. On Saturday 21st March I received 5 of 6 cheques. All 5 were for the correct amount and each included an extra £5.
The outstanding cheque is for the mobile Love2Recycle say is faulty which I have disputed.
I will post again if their cheques clear as I have already received an email from Love2Recycle stating that they have discovered a printing error on their cheques and that they may be rejected by my bank.
** Today, 23rd March all 5 Love2Recycle cheques were rejected by Abbey **The sort code printed at the bottom of their cheques does not match the sort code
on the top right hand side
I returned to Abbey and asked that they enter all Love2Recycle cheques manually onto their system using the sort code on the top right hand side. All 5 cheques were accepted.Abbey were less than helpful and only by taking a proactive stance did I receive the desired outcome.I telephoned Love2Recycle and left them in no doubt as to what I thought of their service. They would not accept that the mobile they had stated is faulty was in as new condition and in full [tested] working order when it left me therefore I had no choice but to accept their lower offer. Love2Recycle might have gained an extra £1 :T but have lost my trust and me as a customer.
Unless Love2Recycle have another "extra special" promotion
Avoid Them At All Cost
Do It To Them Before They Do It To You

Used Love2Recycle for my Samsung G600. L2R gave the best price and they paid the extra £5 as I used the voucher code I found her on MSE. The cheque arrived promptly and the no problems in paying it into my bank.
Overall, excellent and would be happy to use them again.
Cheers0 -
I have just received a cheque for my Samsung G600. I hope that the cheque does not bounce! The company were very quick sending the money and it was for the correct amount. Overall a compnay todeal with.....so far anyway!0
-
Service was very slow, waited three weeks for my cheque, although they did email letting me know there was a delay. It's not bounced yet...fingers crossed.
I traded two phones. One I was told, was a 3510i and not the 3510 I submitted and they could not offer me a price for it. Fair enough, however I still expected to receive my £5 bonus as my wife had exactly the same situation and receive a cheque for £5. When my cheque only contained the money for one phone I emailed the love2recycle and received the following reply:
"Unfortunately we can pay you the £5.00 voucher if your handset has any value, so in that case the voucher has been cancelled."
So one person gets the bonus £5, the other doesn't. I would have liked to have been informed that the voucher was cancelled- maybe it's in the small print I can't really be bothered to go back through it.0 -
Can someone please help? I'm pretty new to this site so forgive me if I'm asking a stupid question! I've got an old N95 which love2recycle are top payers (by £1) @ £106. My question is.... it says "Good Feedback" on the comparison table. From what I can read here, they have mostly Bad Feedback. Am I missing something?0
