How much do you give for a Samsung U900 soul? Its very good condition only 5 months old, never been dropped so no marks etc. Do you pay more depending on the condition of the phone?

    Hi Emweaver,

You'll get up to date prices on www.money4urmobile.com. The price shown is for a phone in working, good condition. This price is lowered dependent on damage. Terms and Conditions are also on the site.

    Hope that helps!

Hi, i've just registered to write this post as im furious!

Used other mobile phone recycling companys before and sadly Money4urmobile is the only one where i've recieved a problem.

After sending out the mobile, a Sony Ericsson W810i with the £5 offer. I waited and.. waited. Getting no response i sent an email. Asking them:
    Hi,
Item Sony Ericsson W810i sent two weeks ago, yet to recieve payment.
    Your reference number is: ******.
    Regards,
    ******

    Finally i recieved a reply.
    Order ref ******

    Hello Mr ******

    Thanks for your email

The Sony Ericsson W810i we received was water damaged. This falls into level 5 of our terms and conditions. This is why the offer price was reduced by 100%

    Thanks

    Say what?

It was sent in perfect working order. . . Water damage while in transit? Highly unlikely.

    100% reduction?? What a con.

I've asked them to retest it. I'm SURE they can't do this legally so I'm more than prepared to take them to the small courts and complain to trading standards.

Now waiting on a reply, will keep you updated.

  • I have just sold my Samsung U900 Soul to Money4urmobile and had £74.50 in my account within days. (Posted Saturday, money in Thursday)

I have to admit I was a bit dubious after reading this thread so I packed it up very well and sent it Special Delivery (as I was due £75 I wanted to be sure). I also added a screen shot in the pack.

    Hi Noxs,

I'm so sorry you've had such a bad experience! It really is not our intention to upset people in such a way. Would it be possible for you to let me have your reference number in order to allow me to look into it for you?

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

    Kind regards
    Ruth

    Hi Ruth,

If you can look into it that would be great, as i haven't had any further response from the customer support team (by email or post, as i sent a formal letter outlining whats happened to date).

Hopefully you can help resolve matters.

    The order reference is: 146500

    Thanks,

  • Hi guys, I have a samsung soul SGH-U900. And the best price is £74.50 and then theres a £5 code, but that expires in a week. So I'm not very sure whether to buy my own jiffy bag (don't have a clue what or how much that is) and try it get it within 7 days. Or whether to hope they keep the price up and make another code. And could someone make a simple guide on how to keep things safe? I have saved a draft email of the whole page copied and pasted, incase I need to use it in arguing.

    Thanks

About my above problem after speaking with Ruth we've sorted it out, i've given some feedback and pleased with the outcome.

Although the experience with my order/customer support wasn't great I've been assured measures are being taken to rectify matters so it won't happen again.

    Thanks Ruth!

    Hi Nonbelieverrr!

As long as you are able to enter the code when you place the order online, and you get the mobile to us within 30 days of placing that order, the promotional code will be honoured. In order to guarantee the price quoted it needs to be here within 14 days of creating your order.

As to sending in the phone: There is a facility online to print out a freepost label which you could use with your own packaging. I would advise on a phone of that value to make sure it's packed well. T's and C's don't cover damage or items going missing in transit. Due to that I would also consider paying a couple of pounds to send it special delivery, not Recorded delivery as that only insures your items up to about £36 or £39. - Don't quote me on that figure though- it really is best to check with Royal mail!

If you need any further advice, please don't hesitate to ask.

Thank you for getting in touch!

    Ruth

Ok, so I'm going to buy my own jiffy bag from the post office. Then print off freepost label and sellotape it in , then I will wrap phone in plastic bag and put it in, along with a printed copy of the quoted price. Then I will send by special delivery and get proof of postage incase all goes AWOL. Then I wait for the £76 pounds to come in (i minused postage costs)

    Lets hope all goes well!

    Thanks ruth
