I've had a look though the last few posts and they seem to be some saying they where really good, others aren't so positive.
I've got a iPhone 3Gs that I want to sell, Money4YourMobile have given me the best quote of £240 (more than I'll get on eBay I think!).
I would consider it in good condition, there is a small dent on the bottom left corner, 3-4mm long, 1mm wide and maybe 2mm deep. Would this effect the price by much? I can get photos if need be.
I've also read that a few people have said that their phones have had water damage when they've sent them working, is this a scam or something?
Thanks!
It's difficult to tell how damaged your phone is by the description of the dent, the best thing to do would be call us on - 08454 667145 and one of the team will talk through. In relation to water damage you have indicators under the covers which display if your phone is water damaged. Sometimes water damage can be things like people taking their phone into the bathroom whilst running a shower or caught in the rain one day. Again give us a call and we can talk you through where the indicator is on your item,
We attempt to be as transparent as possible in terms and conditions and always urge customers if in doubt to contact us before sending in items.

Hi Money4urmobile Rep,
Could you kindly check on the status of my order please? I have not received any email confirmation from yourselves and I have tracking reference that you have received the phone yesterday. Order reference is 432242, I was quoted £89. Not heard anything from anyone, but you have received the phone.

I shopped around for the best price for my month old mint condition HTC HD2.
They offered £175.00 which I was happy to go with.
So i sent the phone via Special Delivery insured etc
So for about a 2 week period I received no emails at all, nothing saying phone had been checked etc.
I then logged onto my account to find they had graded the phone at 100% damaged and that they would pay me......£0.00!
I am soo blooming furious about this company, I have sent them 5 emails now referring to this order and still had no reply.
If the company rep is reading this now, you sir should be ashamed of yourself for representing a god awful company and for giving these silly replies to people saying that their orders are just lagged etc.
Just be honest and admit your nicking peoples cash!
I am soo frustrated with this whole thing as that money was to pay for my student house deposit..not anymore.
I have emailed one last time to this company, if no reply is found from it I am thinking of seeking further legal action.
One last word to this rant, do not use!

Hello Johnidrake89,
I believe my colleague Jennifer has been in contact with you first on the 20th September then again at the weekend with regards your order.
Upon grading we sent you an email explaining the damage to which I believe you resent to us asking why your item had been reduced. Jennifer advised that the device was subject evidence of water damage however, we would hold this in triage for a three day period if you wanted this to be returned to you. During this time we had no response however have been in touch with you further to explain what happened.
We hold all items for 3 days to allow all customers the opportunity to claim these back if not happy with our quote, this is subject to an admin fee which simply covers the return of your item by Special Delivery and the processing cost of handling your item. Unfortunatly after 3 days we can no longer hold the item.
Apologies that you have had a bad experience, and in relation to not replying to your emails we take this issue very seriously and also aim to reply to emails within 2 hours. Please get in touch with the team if you have any further questions.
Thanks

I had an iPhone 4 16GB to sell and picked Money4URMobile based on MSE's valuation tool. They were quoting the second highest rating (£135) just behind CeX and around £20-30 higher than most other companies on the valuation site.
The phone I was sending in was less than 6 weeks old. My previous handset had been damaged and this was a replacement under my mobile phone insurance. It had been kept in a cover and was in mint condition, completely blank and with factory settings.
I sent the handset via special delivery and a few days later received an email offering £121.50 as there were visible scratches/wear and tear on the handset, which was categorically untrue.
To add insult to injury, the "new customer" price they were then quoting on the website had increase to £155 for a mint condition phone or £134.90 for minor damage ... 10p lower than the 'top' price I was originally quoted
I emailed them to explain that the handset was new and asked if they were in a position to reconsider their offer and if not, return the handset to me per their T&Cs. 3 days later, a representative emailed back to say they would not revise the offer. So I asked for the handset to be returned as I could get a better price elsewhere.
Today they deposited £121.50 into my account and no acknowledgement of my request to return my handset
So I feel rather cheated by this company. My advice is to avoid altogether or discount 10-15% from their quoted price and then decide if its worth it. It appears to be a standard tactic of this organisation to out price the competition then offer a revised price upon receipt of your phone
NOTE: this company is one-and-the-same as O2 Recycle so treat both with skepticism0 -
I really wish I had done more research before using this company. We made initial contact with them and received my envelope on 29 November. After hearing nothing, I telephoned them several times on December 7th getting an answer phone each time. Despite leaving a message my call was never returned. I also e-mailed them that afternoon. I received an email two days later stating that the handset had not yet been received and that it can take up to 7 working days. Having waited some more I tried the telephone again today and still the answer phone, I do not expect I will get a reply again, have sent yet another email. I am afraid that if they claim it is lost in the post I will only be able to get the refund from Royal Mail which is about 45 pounds less that the original quote from Money4urmobile. Always used to use Boots recycling, and we never had problems, it is a shame they don't do it anymore. Just in case there is a rep monitoring this my reference is 1127338
Going to post this on as many consumer websites as possible0
