    Hi Silvacrest

I have just sent your order number over to our customer service team - you should have a reply with full status of your order shortly.

Sorry about any delays you have had, this may be due to the easter break as a delay recieving your order into us but our CS team will be in touch with full details.

    Thanks

    Hi Dannim

We're sorry you had a bad experience, we use Checkmend on all items we recieve and if an item is blocked or stolen we cannot return the item and this is held in quarrantine.

As checkmend is an external report all we can do it refer you to Checkmend as we cant change the status of any items.

Again really sorry about your experience and that you felt you had to do some chasing to have this block removed however, our focus on security and ensuring our items are able to be sold remains.

    Thanks

Hi, It's not your fault there was still a stolen report still on my phone but you DIDN'T refer me to checkmend! I was told repeatidly contact 3, your phone is blocked etc etc. As the company checkmend was mentioned, I looked them up on the net and contacted them! Luckly they were helpful and sorted out my problem but if this conpany wasn't so helpful and easily contact I would have lost out!!!

I also find it crazy if that if you recieve phone which come up on your system as stolen, you don't pass it on to the police. As they could easily return the phone to its owner.
  • Hi all,

Just wanted to post something about this as I'm really not happy with Money4urmobile. I looked on the phone recycling comparison and they offered the most for my phone - a Nokia e71 (over £90+Quidco - nice I thought).

I sent the phone off and within a few days received an email saying that my phone was water damaged and they would offer me £0.00 for it! Needless to say I was pretty annoyed. This phone is 18months old, in perfect working order and has never been dropped in water or even splashed.

Anyway, I had to pay £15!!!! for them to send it back to me by special delivery (even though I'd mentioned to the lady on the phone that I'd sent it to them by special delivery and it only cost me £5.50!). I've requested a full copy of the report claiming that it's water damaged, so will wait and see...

This is just a warning to those like me who thought it was worth getting a little bit less for my phone by sending it to one of these places... needless to say I'll be using eBay in the future...

    Chris.

Money 4 Ur Mobile claimed there were scratches on the screen and the handset had no power so I had a 10% reduction in value: The screen had a protector on the whole time and I reinstalled the software before sending the phone so unless the power magically drained away during transit, that's not entirely true. Looking at the T&Cs, you might get hit with a 10% fine if the phone isn't "fully charged" when you send it.

I won't use M4UM ever again, be warned anyone who is thinking of going with them.

Have to add I too, am not happy with M4uM.
Was quoted £15.50 and sent the phone off the same day I received the envelope.Tracked it online where it kept saying "not received".

When they said it hadbeen received,it was outside of the guarenteed time and the price had dropped to £7.00. OK It's only £8.50, but I won't be using them again.

At least !!!!!! Turpin wore a mask !

I have a feeling they purposely do this because it is their policy that once they have your phone, it's theirs to keep. If they reduce the value of your phone, you have no choice but to accept the new valuation.

  • I decided to sell my phone to Money4urmobile last September as they offered the best price through the Compare and Recycle website.

I was not happy when 4 days later I still hadnt heard anything so I emailed the company to ask whether they had received my mobile and when would I receive my money? They said it wasn't in working condition, which I knew it was right up to the day I sent it off, I dont doubt it had minor damage on the casing.

However I now notice on their website even if the phone isn't working they still offer you half the price.

So I asked for my mobile phone back and they said they wont send it back as it sates this in the terms and conditions.

I think this website is a scam and I would definitely never use nor recommend it again.
