Can you, or anyone, please refer me to the letter (on MSE website) I need to send to make a preliminary request for the charges?!

Hello Moneysavers!
Can someone please help, I have been thinking about reclaimimg my unfair bank charges for some time now, but I wasn't really serious until Abbey decided to charge me £50 for going £10 overdrawn! I phoned them to explain my situation and they told me they could do nothing about reversing this charge as they had done it once before this year! (11 months ago!) At this point I told them their charges were unfair and that I would be taking my case further. To which the girl on the end got quite shirty and was quite rude! This made me more determined to reclaim. I requested 6 years of bank statements and received them today. Interestingly over the 6 years, I have been charged almost £700!
Now to my problem.............. I have registered with the consumer Action Group but cannot find the blank templates in the forum, everytime I click on the title, I get ads for purchasing a CD Rom or Book by a solicitor. I understand this site needs to make money to help, but all I want is the first letter format! It keeps telling me to read all the FAQs and learn to use the site, but all I want is the letter format! Can anyone furnish me with a copy of their successful letter so I can plaguerise!
secondly.................Is interest on the charges applicable from day one till now, ie, for a charge of £24.00 in July 2000, do I calculate the interest from then till now at 8% and so on for each charge made.? Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanking you all in anticipation!0 -

Hi there, Could I grab someone's attention for a few seconds?
I am in the process of claiming against Lloyds and would appreciate a little help from someone.
I have first of all asked for my wife's 6 years worth of banking history (I am acting on behalf of her at the moment), I received this with no problems, my next step was to input the data into the spreadsheet kindly donated, and this has also been sent along with the letter which applied. 2 days ago I received a letter from Lloyds basically fobbing me off and having none of it writing that "sorry you are unhappy, blah blah blah, and this letter is the banks final response".
Could someone please tell me the next step, as apparantly I have to send another letter of LBA, but I thought the previous letter was in the same effect. Is my next step Moneyclaim?
Many thanks,
Family life. :j0 -

Hi there, I'd recommend trying the Consumer Action Group. I'm at the same stage as you with Lloyds and all the template letters are there. Read the FAQ's and there's a step by step guide with a link to the right docs you need. Good luck0 -

You should write them a final letter, outlaying the amount of your claim and giving them 14 days to pay. Should they still refuse to pay, it is then your call whether you start the court action. I did the same thing with the co-op, who paid up on my 14 day LBA.

I'm sorry, I don't apologise. That's just the way I am. Homer (Simpson)0 -
