  • Will I be able to as part of my claim be able to add the interest charges for being overdrawn and any other reimbursements, ie time and hassle of writing letters to the bank.

you can reclaim the interest on the charges, however it is complicated as for letter writing yes you can. as for time and hassle that comes down to compensation and is harder to claim go to www.!!!!!!.uk
everything is explained much more clearly there

    Hi,
just wanted to say I have successfully reclaimed all my charges plus interest from BOS, it really is very easy, everyone should do it:) !
The website I used Is the one that Martin was talking about,

    https://www.consumeractiongroup.co.uk

They have templets of all the letters you need to send, The easiest thing to do is go and read the FAQ's which tell you exactly what to do at each stage, There are other websites about which I'm sure are equally as good.
  • Hi,

I have complained to the ICO as Abbey still haven't provided me with the info (requested in March 06), the old micro fich arguement was investigated last week by them. Has anyone done the same, still waiting to hear from the ICO as to their response to my complaint.
  • hi, have just started reading all these comments and just want to clarify what i could claim back- is it charges from the bank for unpaid direct debits and charges for going overdrawn? i had a spell a few years ago when paying the charges for unpaid dd's one month left no money in the account for that months dd's, and this vicious circle went on for quite a while, leading me further and further into debt! would be grateful for any help with this

  • Do i need to send proof (ie bank statements or the letter from the bank listing charges) with the first letter to the bank or just list the charges. My bank Alliance & Leicester will charge £10 to send me a letter with the charges but they can list them out to me over the phone for free.

Also can i reclaim charges on my store and credit cards? (GE Capital, Creation finance and barclycard)
