Claim back any unfair bank charges! Article Discussion Area

Hi, I recently signed up for a savings account with Hallifax, in which I pay 25 a month. I left my usual 25 in the bank ready for my payment to be takin out, but my bank Lloyds tsb, took about 95p leaving £24 odd in, so hallifax could not take out the £25 standing order.
I went down to the bank in the next few days and put in a couple of quid in to cover it, they took it out and I thought it was sorted.
But my bank has takin charged me 35 quid and I am 121 overdrawn. Will I be able to claim these charges back as outline in the above article.
Any help would be greatly eppreciated.
Thanks in advance

hi mark, it depends if you have all your statements for last 6 years, you are better of putting a post up at consumercorner. its easier to help that way and keeps a log. but if you know the amount you want to claim the link is here0 -
I have from time to time rung up the bank and complained long and loud and have received some charges back, and at other times received letters saying the charges have been correctly applied blah blah blah.
Anyone know if the fact that I have already claimed some charges back on an adhoc basis prevents me from making an overall claim for every charge (less the ones already refunded of course).
Thanks in advance0 -
