LOL JP - I bet
I don't suppose you know a good supplier for silver look craft wire to make a crystal bouquet? I have foolishly agreed to make one for a mates wedding
Looked up the instructions and decided it was within my "ability" (it's long strands with crystal beads on arranged prettily... not all THAT complex lol even for me!)

Hello Everyone,
There I was browsing and I found you, what a great thread.
I'm self employed and work from home so can I join you please?
I spend most of my time procrastinating and while the internet is a wonderful thing I spend far too much time on it instead of working!0 -
welcome MrsT and Gothdolly.
I am a freelance translator and proofreader. I also spend most of my time procrastinating on the internet
What do you do Gothdolly?0 -
Thank you for the welcome Starxtrouble, you're a fellow procrastinator too! I feel there are many of us here.
I guess you could say I'm a crafter, I used to make lots of gothic clothing but unfortunately my back can no longer take long hours at a sewing machine. Now I diversify and make lots of different things from stained glass and pottery to textiles and many things inbetween.
Some days I just find it hard to get started but when I do I get really engrossed in what I'm doing and I enjoy having such variety.
I really should put this laptop down right now and chain myself to my desk and do some work.... I'm going ..... I'll be back later.0 -
I don't know how you usually sell your gothic goods Gothdolly but you might want to speak to some smaller shops dircetly
I know the owners of these 2 and they are lovely people and so a fair bit of Alchemy stuff and other Goth clothes etc

Was that Angel that I saw going out? I am pleased that she is having some much needed me time:D
MrsT - I have spoken to the HMRC quite a few times and they have always been helpful and friendly - I have a class 2 NI exemption certificate and get my WTC too - that's what keeps the wolf from the door and pays my bills.
JP your FIL sounds like a card - fancy stealing money from his own family, what a snake. There is nothing worse than when family don't support you - my own family is the same, I have always known that I am a huge disappointment to my mother so now I do my own thing and don't visit that often nor do I tell her anything as its none of her business. I think she is jealous because I have travelled and yet she is too vain to have a photo taken for a passport and so has never gone anywhere - the furthest she has been is to the channel islands and you don't need a passport to go there:rolleyes: You are better than them, plus with John's job you get to travel the world..whereas they stay at home. Don't let them drag you down as they're not worth it - keep a hold of your positive thoughts.
Welcome GothDolly - yes we are all procrastinators here - sometimes procrastination is good for the soul:D
MrsT - I organise corporate events, plan weddings and manage a rock band:cool:
Have a good day everybody..I have to nip out to collect my bank card from the bank (normally its delivered:rolleyes:).0 -
Do you live near your friends Mrs T? My parents live in Aylesbury and I moved to Reading 18 months ago. I play netball in High Wycombe and know it and Thame very well!0
-
Mrs T - I am a writer/journalist/copywriter (wannabe author!). I also knit and sew and make jewellry and do a bit of virtual admin stuff should anyone want it. jack of all trades. My husband is a ktichen and bathroom fitter/electrician and also works for himself.
How do i find the time? (I don't - is the answer to that!)0 -
Starx - you just live up the road from me! I am in sunny Basingstoke....
