i have applied to remove my details, where it said phone & mobile, i put No phone, and set up hotmail email just for this purpose. all went thro ok will keep you all posted, now onto a more serious note..... what about these people who are survivors/victims of domestic violence or other crimes? their details are easily available!!!!!! this is terrible!!! just hope my ex doesnt think to use it to find me!!!!

I agree with you absolutely! I think it is crucial that people should only be able to display an individual's personal info on the internet if they have their permission. I know it's useful for ebay users or for others who may have been defrauded, but in my view, the very fact that some people are in danger of attack or assault (for the reasons suggested by loopylass) that everyone has their personal ID and location withheld unless they agree otherwise. When I first saw this thread a couple of months ago I was outraged to find my details on b4usearch and on 192. Like you loopy, I told them I wanted my details removed. The good news is that you don't have to input any further personal info to have your name and address removed. When I was asked for more info, I just wrote "I do not wish to provide more personal information. You do not have my authorisation to display my personal details on the internet. Please remove them". I also e-mailed 192 and wrote the same thing. As a result my details have now been removed from both sites! :j I think this is useful for people to know, so I might re-post this more visibly, in another forum area.

Dont worry about it, i have just bought the UK Info disk that has it all on so now im untracable when wanting to stalk you as opposed to using web searches that are traceable. :drool:
