You don't need to be organised and skilled to search the thread for 'vouchers':mobilejunkie wrote: »... It's a harsh world... though it is written (on here) that they have been known to send out replacements (though if I were them I wouldn't...!).0

I was just wondering if anyone would step forward and say "yes, I've been issued with replacements"...
But thanks for your help grumbler0 -
If they did, there would be others who would step forward and repeat what they have already posted - they didn't. In any case, it's up to the dealer - whose t&c you are failing to comply with - to be generous or not. You should be asking them; a thousand answers on here won't get you very far.0

This dealer has now FAILED to pay my latest claim within the timescale THEY lay down. Given that they allow themselves just about the LONGEST period to stump up each payment this is a definite warning sign to potential new users. Although it's the first time I've had this problem with them I am fully aware that a lot of other customers waited about a week extra than they should have for their payments a few months back. Supposedly a "one off" - it's now not!
Needless to say I have already taken appropriate action and will follow that through if the money isn't fothcoming without further delay.0 -

You can't really complain given that this issue is well documented, hence avoid cash back.0 -
Funny advice for two reasons.
- Cashback deals have to be treated with caution, but don't have to be avoided indiscriminately. For many years my family has been getting free phones and free airtime and saved thousands.
- The person your advice was addressed to knows perfectly what he is doing and was just sharing the experience, not complaining. I guess he, unlike me, made thousands, not just saved.

All true. It's not a worry at all to me - but a warning to others who aren't as experienced and/or who can't afford to take any risk.
As for the issue being "well documented"; there are plenty of others recommending this dealer, basically saying "send your claims in at the right time and you don't have to worry". This issue has only cropped up once before with this dealer as I recall - and most don't read that far back. Cashback dealers are only as good as what they do NOW; and what this dealer is doing NOW isn't acceptable and may indicate deeper impending problems which could leave others high and dry - especially if they are only just embarking on a long cashback contract.0 -
Thanks mj. I got caught up the last time with "delays" and like you state, it's unacceptable giving the length of time this company takes to pay. Only one contract with this company and down to last couple of claims (one in now).
The other thing with this company is that they still today use "vouchers", another needless hurdle - though some will say losing these vouchers is ones own fault and is why they offer so many absolute free deals.
Much better companies out there (CPW group etc.) which pay out much, much quicker without needing vouchers - much better obviously for those not so organised, though to be fair, if you're not organised you are taking a gamble.
Watching with interest. Be careful if you are just about to consider this company - sit and wait time again. Wait for the all clear.

Hi Guys
I bought a contract upgrade on Friday morning with BuyMobilePhones.net.
How long does it normally take for the phone to arrive.
Order status says following
Order in processing.
Your application for a mobile phone is being processed. You will recieve an email when this is complete.
I bought the SE Xperia Arc on 24month contract @21.50pm with 100min 500 txt and 500mb data with 3 months free line rental on O20 -
This dealer has now not only failed to pay on time but has also failed to pay within the new timeframe it has allowed itself. I also notice that they are increasing the number of free cashback deals on offer (and nearly-free); dealers which got into trouble and went bust two years or so ago did the same (presumably in an effort to keep the pyramid in the air).
I would advise anyone thinking of using this dealer for any form of cashback or free gift (for that matter) deal to steer clear - at least for a few months until they redeem themselves (if they do). There are plenty of alternatives which are far less likely to go bust or fail to pay on time (and who pay a lot faster than this dealer in any case). You can't sue and get your money if they aren't there any more - as thousands of people learnt to their cost in the past.
For those already tied into a cashabck contract with them, I would advise to immediate action as soon as they fail to comply with your terms and conditions; it is also a mistake (as thousands of others found to their cost with other dealers) to give them the benefit of the doubt.
I have always regarded this dealer as higher risk because of their size - despite a good history and feedback over a long period. Now I regard them as HIGH risk because the warning signs and their disregard for customer are growing.0
