Not that Three's ONE MONTH early upgrade timeframe is particularly generous.0

I suppose the other possible option is to just buy a new contract...
Could I then arrange with the network provider to move the expiring contract number to the new contract?0 -
I've just realised i'm late putting my first claimback on my 18month contract, i've never messed this up before (done this a few times with various companies) but massive stress in personal life has made me take eye off the ball.
So i'm about 4 days late on submitting my first claim, gonna send it anyways as i doubt it can hurt to try (but fully expecting to be rejected as this is clearly how they make their money)
but wondering....previously ive been with companies that state if you mess up your first claim in invalidates all other claims, now I can't see this stated anywhere with this company....so hopefully it just means i've messed up first one and i've got four more left that I can do correctly and get cashback for?
anyone know? hope it's good news.....sick of money all going in wrong direction and have a house move to contend with next week.
cheers!0 -
I hope I'm wrong, but I have read that missing the first does invalidate future claims on buymobilephones.net. Read a lot of negative reviews about this fact...
As I said, I really hope I'm wrong (perhaps someone with personal experience can confirm/correct what I'm saying) as it's a pretty disgusting policy and, like you say, probably the way they make their money. If you can, let us know how you get on.0 -
" Read a lot of negative reviews about this fact...... as it's a pretty disgusting policy"
- what you really mean is a lot of complaining moaners who cannot organise their lives enough to send a claim in on time.
They accept the terms and conditions and then 'kick off' when 'they' mess up.
This is how redemption deals work, if everybody sent their claims in on time these deals would disappear. If you are not 150% sure you can complete all the claims on time dont take out redemption deals, settle for a smaller cashback with 'automatic cashback'.0 -
A deal set up which catches people out is still pretty disgusting in my view. Fair enough, perhaps, that missing the first claim should mean you don't get money for THAT claim... but for it to mean that all future claims are invalid is unfair. There should be more legislation to protect the customer, regarding these "redemption offers".
Personally though, I wouldn't touch redemption/free gift deals with a barge pole. I don't trust the companies to fulfil their end of the deal.0 -
Missing one claim no longer invalidates the rest of any claims - just claim as normal.
MTHEO - when did you take out this contract??
When do you think your first claim should have been??

You miss the whole "point" of the cashback game!
The retailer needs to be able to not pay out all the time in order to keep the offer going.
If you stick to the rules of the game you are bound to win in the end, (always assuming the retailer remains in business), but break the rules and you lose!
If you don't like the rules, don't get involved in the game.0 -
Exactly; you beat me to it! Several of us do extremely well out of these deals and never get caught out. If we did because of our own mistakes we wouldn't blame the dealers. As long as the t&c are clear and you follow the groundrules there are no better ways of getting totally free bundles and phones. Anyone not trusting dealers to fulfil their end of the bargain can force them to do so quite easily - IF they've done their homework and not taken the lazy way to a quick buck.0

I don't take out these deals, I already said that.0
