Good luck Mike, I hope you succeed and believe you will.
If it does go down the small claims route, hopefully the judge (if it gets that far) will deem the T&C's unfair as there is no allowance for a postal issue with Royal Mail.
It does make sense to copy the vouchers though, for any future contracts from any MSE member considering this merchant.

I disagree. Unless you can prove receipt you'll be wasting money, time and hassle. Write it off and move on. I have found recent tactics distasteful as well - and won't be using them again (though I won't lose my cashback either, of course).0

Had the misfortune of buying a contract phone from this company. I completed the application online, £20 for 300 mins and 300 texts. The company confirmed my order for the phone but did not provide specific details in their emails to me of what was included. When my first bill arrived from the service provider it was for £25 for 300 mins and 300 texts. When I contacted buymobilephones.net they claimed to have mistakenly connected me to the wrong tariff and offered to change the payment to £20 but at the same time they were now only giving me 100 mins and 100 texts.
Anyone out there having the same problems?0 -
:j Cashback this time received 1 week before the deadline date - so maybe the payment issue was a "glitch" or maybe they have decided to fulfill their T&C's to avoid bad publicity - who knows??
Anyway, lets hope future payments (cashbacks) are also paid on time - they do have long enough to sort it, so no excuse really.
@ pipsrunsred, this error looks like they have mis-sold you a contract. I would get them to cancel this contract or ask then to supply what was advertised. It's your call.
Edit: I'm assuming you signed up for the 18 month contract?? The 24 month one gives what you state.

Although dealers sometimes allow a change to a higher tariff, my t&c specifically state "Each bill must show that your tariff has not changed since the time of connection". Therefore a LBA would be a waste of postage and anyone relying on the same result (or advertising their good fortune on here) is, quite simply, asking for it.0

Has anybody had any experiences from cash alternative offer?
I was offered a cash alternative as my free gift was still not in stock 28days after being approved, it has now been 7 days and still nothing in my account, just wanted to know if anybody has had this and if so how long did it take? and if it's worth emailing them/ or phoning them to give em a kick up the bum.0 -
I am looking for advice. I want to sign up to a mobile contract and have tried to go for buymobilephones.net's HTC Desire £25/18mo contract with 5 mos 1/2 price line rental. Gave them my details and today I've received an email saying T-mobile requires a £100 deposit refundable at the end of contract. Is this legit? Has this happened to anyone before? I've never taken a mobile phone contract before, I have BT landline and contract for separate ISP, credit rating is fine afaik so I dont know why they are asking for a deposit. Any advice would be appreciated, thanks!0

Is the same deal not with anyone else??
I got several contracts at the moment and one with BMP's - the worst dealer of the lot IMHO. I'll get through this one hopefully and ditch them. The CPW group of companies have their moments also, but I always expect problems/issues with BMP's - might just be me though and to be fair I always get paid, even when they breach their own T&C's.
It's do-able, just don't expect everything handed on a plate.
I've never ever had to put down any deposit with any contract I've ever taken out, but have no experience of high end phone contracts - hope someone can enlighten you.
