  • Got paid yesterday! 1st of 5 claims.
  • I have a question (and its probably been answered before) but I have had a long look through this thread and cant find it, so here goes

I have had two bills now (both online bills)
    I am on a £30 plan, but with a £5 saver - so £25 a month.
my first 'bill' was £41, as apparnetly I signed up before my billing date so they added half of the cost ontop of it, and my second bill was the standard £25.

does the £41 bill count as my first bill?? because I read somewhere befre that someone had a sign-up bill that was £0.00 and THAT bill was the first one, so I am now confused.

    any help would be great!

also, my form says photocopies are acceptable, so does that mean I can just print off my online bills? (the first 2 pages)
  • 1) £41 bill.

    2) Yes.

Tyler, is it the phone which is important, the contract, or both?? If it's just the sim, I would go for either Mobiles.co.uk or E2save and a 17 months free on 18 months with them is virtually the same as an 18 months free on 18 months via BMP's when taking in account of cashback from say Topcashback - up to £20 extra cashback (+ top-ups if applicable). The reason for this is has been clarified by mj above - more chance that a CPW group company will last the term. I currently have 3 cashback deals and only 1 with BMP's and luckily it's only £20 per month, with my first claim in now.

TBH its the contract thats of more importance, when I got my current contracts this time last year mobiles.co.uk where a no-go site regarding cashback deals, are they better now ?

I'm hoping that t-mobile retentions can offer me something good, would be the first year in as long as I can remember that I haven't gone for a cashback deal. I need to check the few companies that now offer CB deals and see if its still worth a go.

    Thanks for the reply

    I've been Money Tipped!
If o2 is any good you can get 22 months free on a 24 month contract with E2save and a Nokia 2220 slide - works out at just over £2 p/m or £50 over 2 years and with the £46 cashback from say Topcahback it makes it virtually free. If it goes to plan of course, but E2save are paying up pretty well at the moment.
There are other options of course - lots of them and some pretty good deals on both Orange and Vodafone. Also T-Mob, but mainly with only 100 mins deals.

  • I hope you can help me clear this up, because they just reply with a standard email which doesn't answer my queries.

    1) They contradict themselves:
"E.g. If connected in January, the sixth month will be July"
    "
(where your first bill is the first correspondence from your network requesting ANY payment)"

The 6th month would be June, not July???

    2) They have changed their T&Cs since I bought in May. I originally had to send the first 4 bills, but now their site says 6 bills - for an 18 month contract.

If I had not checked again online I would have sent 4 bills, so which is correct please?

    3) They have 2 different addresses, one on the cashback form you have to include, and one with the T&Cs.

Which address do I send the bills to - buymobilephones.net, Derbyshire or
    Mobiles.co.uk, Watford?

    Thanks for sharing your experiences.

If you abide by the ts + cs you agreed when you did the deal, then they have no grounds to refuse you cashback.
  • Apologies for losing the plot, I've found the answers - no idea how, but I got confused with my previous deal, and because they messed up I'm getting stressed this time!

I'm working on the first 4 months being May to August, and keeping my fingers crossed. (Thanks Quentin.)
  • Spounds like your previous deal was with Mobiles.co. to me! That quote is straight for their t&c. Methinks you have lost the plot!
  • Latest cashback arrived to-day just as promised.
    Long may it last.
Be good to the young on their way up you might need them on your way down.
