Hi
I posted my third claim yesterday with my eighth and ninth bills and claim voucher. Today I received an e-mail saying I had sent the wrong bills. I've kept copies (obviously) and am currently on hold to their customer services department.
I'll update after I've spoken to them.
Dan
UPDATE: I've spoken to their customer services department who say they require my June bill. I got the phone in November (but received first bill in Dec). So Dec(1), Jan(2), Feb(3), March (4) April (5), = 1st claim (accepted), May (6) June(7), = 2nd claim (accepted) but July(8) and August(9) have been rejected. I've asked for (and received) an e-mail confirming their request for the June bill.
I'll send a letter explaining their mistake, copies of both e-mails received, a copy of the third cashback voucher, and the June/July/August bills by recorded delivery tomorrow.0 -
Presumably then you are on a 12 month contract?0

Assuming that you ARE on a 12 month contract and the same t&c I am using for an October contract don't waste money on postage and recorded delivery. Send a LBA first class with proof of posting. They have been doing this for long enough to know when they have broken their own t&c; it is of concern because cpw companies resort to such tactics when they decide to reject a valid claim. If yours is a valid claim and they have rejected it then why mess around playing a new game? Either they pay up or you sue.0 -
If your cashback is both late and not paid after allowing for the extra time, get that LBA sent asap.
I would send it tomorrow (signed for) and it should be there for Monday. Give 7, 10 or 14 days as you wish. I would only give 7 for this if it's delayed twice. If just once then 10 days for me.
Good luck and please update, it really does help others.

I have a phone from E2save which I got on April 30th and will be sending in my 6 month bill in from Nov in a couple of months, hopefully will get paid ASAP.
I am thinking of getting a phone from BMP.net , but just need to know what an LBA is?0 -

Firstly, a LBA (letter before action) is simply a letter (send signed for) giving the retailer/merchant a set number of days to settle an issue before you would sue them. Make sure you have done everything right though first. An example may be that they refuse a legitimate claim or pay late even - these would be a breach of their T&C's.
Why do you think you need to send in your Nov. bill to E2save??
It needs to be your Sept. bill if you received your phone in April.
BTW, E2save have been paying up very quickly of late - in my experience anyway.
Edit: I would certainly read up on BMP's brfore jumping in - they can't be described as being "customer friendly" at the moment and seem to be using dubious tactics. Just be fully aware and maybe just consider another contract from E2save.

It is just a waste of money sending LBAs "signed for". (Even the courts don't use it for sending out the important legal documents - the summons/judgement etc.)
(If you feel the urge, you could get a proof of posting cert free from the post office)0 -

I understand what you are saying and it's got to be up to each individual, but for me I want to see proof of delivery and at only 74p extra it's worth it in my opinion (when RM actually do their job correctly). But obviously just normal post is an option - 2nd class as well if you really want to save money. ;-)
All my cashback claims and LBA's are sent "signed for" - luckily there is more back-up now with cashback claims and the opportunity to just re-send if wanted and special delivery with extra insurance (consequential loss) is not needed.

You don't need proof of delivery for a LBA (you have a copy to show if necessary).
Another downside to sending mail recorded is that if no-one is available to sign for it it when the postman calls it definitely doesn't get delivered! Then it's down to the recipient to chase up the delivery (if they can be bothered). The PO quickly return uncollected signed for items to sender!
(And there is plenty of evidence that signed for items for one major player often just get delivered without any sig being obtained!)0 -
I am getting ready to send one for another dealer; since I don't want them to respond in time and don't want to waste money mine will go first class unrecorded with free proof of posting. IF I did want a response I'd allow longer for compliance and email a copy of the (posted) LBA as well. Horses for courses but recorded delivery - can't remember the last time I used that for anything (even for claims).
As for E2Save vs Buymobilephones - generally E2Save is always safer because they are more likely to still be around should you need to sue. At present they are also more efficient than anyone else - but that doesn't mean anyone should go rushing in unless they ARE prepared to sue if needbe AND know exactly what they are doing!0 -
It is interesting what you are saying Quentin, especially when they don't sign and have to be reurned or even refuse to sign (as the largest cashback site actually did a long time ago!!!!!).
But the question is, "Why send at all"?? Proof of posting is not proof of receiving and although you can get proof of sending, it means nothing if lost in post.
