I have dealt with the mobile outlet - let me tell you, don't ever order another phone from them again. Let your friends and family know that they are an unreputable company that never keeps their cashback promises. Attif Ashraf - one of their company directors is living it up with our money in his pocket, I have not seen any public apology on TMO website to say he is sorry that cashbacks will not be honored. Also I think his wife is the other director - keeping all the cash in the family. These people are greedy - if I don't see my cashback paid into my account very soon then I will have to contact you personally Mr Attif Ashraf, as I have already done.0

I ordered two cashback deal 12 month contract mobile phones from buymobilephones.net over the telephone, as they were having problems with the website.
When both my Mum and myself got the welcome pack there were no instructions of how to claim cashback or terms and conditions only some vouchers.
I phoned and was told that at the corresponding date on each voucher to send off the bill (original) Recorded Delivery with the voucher. In August myself and my Mum awaited our August Bills, to double check she was following the proceedure to the letter my Mum actually phoned them again to check she was sending the correct bill etc. Only then did we post off.
After not hearing from them I emailed them only to be told as we had not adhered to the Terms And Conditions they would not pay out this or any subsequent cashbacks!
Surely if I haven't been given any terms and conditions how could I adhere to them? Also the staff don't even seem to know what they are.
I have emailed a few times but to no avail!!!!
:money: Please help I've a lot too lose.
Hi complained to Safebuy got an email attaching a copy of an email sent to buymobilephones.net telling them to resolve the issue within 5 working days then heard nothing! I have a 12 month contract on vodaphone with buymobilephones.net,they acknowledged receipt of my first 5 airtime bills ( total before V.A.T.= £155) BUT only £105 has been paid into my account, leaving me £50 short.
I have e mailed them but to no avail,is this a case of pursuing further via small claims or can they decide what they pay out.I thought it best to get advice here before following this one up. luckily i have copies of everything. THEY HAVE NOT INFORMED ME OF ANY CHANGES WITH THEIR T&C'S
Many Thanksnever put off buying a bargain today,it may be gone tomorrow0 -
Sounds to me like you don't have a clue how these deals work. No cashback deal pays back the sum of bills sent for any one claim. I recommend you look more closely at the t&c. Your VAT reference is also totally irrelevant and confusing.0

When i was with mobileshop 2 years ago they paid out the exact amount for each claim 60 days after it was sent.
As i explained it says nothing in these guys T&C'S about paying out 'part of a claim at a time' so i am somewhat confused by your logic. I did read ALL buymobilephones.net t&c's before posting.never put off buying a bargain today,it may be gone tomorrow0 -
Then I'm at a loss. I've never come across ANY dealer or cashback deal which relates any given claim to any amount paid at that time and the way it's structured is always very clear in the t&c in that respect! If it isn't you shouldn't do the deal in the first place. If it is you must be able to answer your own question.0

I also took out a 12 month contract on Vodafone with buymobilephones.net and I've recently sent in my first five bills and had an acknowledgment of receipt. This leads me to think that I took my contact out a few days after you. In the email they sent me when I took out the contract they said:Line rental refunds for 12 month contracts:Therefore, presuming you are on a £35 per month tariff, the payment of £105 that you received is exactly correct, as 4 x £105 = £420, divided by 12 = £35.
Line rental refunds and cash backs will be paid in four equal parts; on month five, month seven, month nine and month twelve of your contract.

That was my assumption. I've come across people before getting it completely wrong with the way cashback deals work. I must question why people get involved in them when they don't even understand the very basics - especially nowadays. It's even more amazing that someone who has the t&c doesn't understand them when that part is as clear as anything ever could be. At least they got their cashback; I'm not surprised so many don't given the lack of basic understanding though. Other parts of t&c are usually FAR less clear. In the case of this dealer I dislike the way they didn't tell you that you only have 14 days from the date of the statement to get your claim to them. THAT breaks two of my own groundrules; 14 days is asking for it and not telling people before they order says even more about the company. They aren't the worse, but they are fraught with risk - especially for those not making certain they understand the t&c 100% before they take the plunge. I would also wager that the deal with the Mobile Shop in no way matched claims against actual money paid at that time - even though it was two years ago!
I think this should serve as a clear warning to those jumping into cashback deals (should they reappear!). Do your research beforehand and think many times before taking the plunge. There's a lot more to it than a cursory glance at the hype and the t&c!0 -
