First add a new Carrier code of "08000192190 - Free Dir Enq" as mentioned below:-

    1. How to Add a new Carrier Code

    · Double click on next available carrier line
    · Select Carrier Code from the drop down menu
    · Click on OK

Now, add "118*1*9 - 118 DQ Trans" and "192 - 192 Translation" routing codes (both should have the 'T' Translate attribute) as indicated below:-

    2. How to Add a new Routing Code

    · Double click on next available (empty) Routing line
    · Select Routing Code from the drop down menu
    · Select for Day, Night & Weekend, the "08000192190 - Free Dir Enq" carrier (specified in 1)
    · Click on OK

Once this is done and you have dialled home then any call beginning 118 or 192 (the old DQ service) will instead dial the freephone DQ service. If you do wish to use a specific DQ service then you will have to dial your override code (normally 121) and then the DQ service you require.
Thanks for that .Mine was set up correctly but I changed CPS recently and my directory enquiries wont work now .It will if I dial the 08000192190 direct but not if I dial 118 .118 gets me a dead line ,could be worse 118 could get me the wrong service and I would have to pay .

Can anyone direct me to Martin MSE's recommended programming list for the Orchid dialler. Haven't got time to plough through 35 pages! I know I've seen it somewhere, but "search" failed to find it. Thanks.

    Don't think Martin's done one.

You're welcome to use all or parts of the one I prepared for my daughter though - click the HERE link in my signature below and you'll find it under the THIS link towards the end of that page.

I want to update some of my phone providers on my Orchid V4. Is it easy to do it myself (I am not that good with this sort of stuff) or is it best I as Orchid to do it for me.

    01/02 - Weekdays - 1899.com
Evenings - Primus Option 2 (my CPS)
    Weekends - Primus

    Mobile - Weekday - Phonecheap
    Evenings - Phonecheap
    Weekends - 18186

    0870 Weekdays - 18185
    Evenings - BT
    Weekends - BT

    0845 Weekdays - Dialaround
    Evenings - BT
    Weekends - BT

Is that the cheapest option for me?

As you already have a routing table set up it's fairly easy to amend yourslef.
You can follow these video guides which tell you step-by-step how to do it.

Except for the typo on the prefix for weekend to mobile calls (18185, not 18186), I think that's about the best there is except for weekday and weekday evening calls to mobiles (for which a 2p/minute newcomer is currently the leader - see THIS THREAD).

    hi everyone

got the orchid today but the test call seemed to suggest that there is no routing going on. i did send settings when i ordered - twice (they got lost in the ether the first time apparently) but am not convinced they are working. i dialled a number and got no tarriff message.

now i find that the client software can't connect... anyone else having this problem?

also - i have a master socket, from which i am running an extension downstairs. if i put the orchid box in the socket before the extension, i don't need to buy another orchid box, do i?

Did you get the dialler to dial home to pick up its routing table?

No I can connect fine. If this is your first time connecting you need to change the IP address - have you done this?

Do you mean that you plug the dialler into the master socket and then plug the extension socket into the dialler? Or is your extension socket hardwired from within the master socket?
