1. How to Add a new Carrier Code
· Double click on next available carrier line
· Select Carrier Code from the drop down menu
· Click on OK
Now, add "118*1*9 - 118 DQ Trans" and "192 - 192 Translation" routing codes (both should have the 'T' Translate attribute) as indicated below:-
2. How to Add a new Routing Code
· Double click on next available (empty) Routing line
· Select Routing Code from the drop down menu
· Select for Day, Night & Weekend, the "08000192190 - Free Dir Enq" carrier (specified in 1)
· Click on OK
Once this is done and you have dialled home then any call beginning 118 or 192 (the old DQ service) will instead dial the freephone DQ service. If you do wish to use a specific DQ service then you will have to dial your override code (normally 121) and then the DQ service you require.0 -
Can anyone direct me to Martin MSE's recommended programming list for the Orchid dialler. Haven't got time to plough through 35 pages! I know I've seen it somewhere, but "search" failed to find it. Thanks."0844 COSTS YOU MORE"0

You're welcome to use all or parts of the one I prepared for my daughter though - click the HERE link in my signature below and you'll find it under the THIS link towards the end of that page.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -
I want to update some of my phone providers on my Orchid V4. Is it easy to do it myself (I am not that good with this sort of stuff) or is it best I as Orchid to do it for me.

Is that the cheapest option for me?0 -
As you already have a routing table set up it's fairly easy to amend yourslef.
You can follow these video guides which tell you step-by-step how to do it.

hi everyone
got the orchid today but the test call seemed to suggest that there is no routing going on. i did send settings when i ordered - twice (they got lost in the ether the first time apparently) but am not convinced they are working. i dialled a number and got no tarriff message.
now i find that the client software can't connect... anyone else having this problem?
also - i have a master socket, from which i am running an extension downstairs. if i put the orchid box in the socket before the extension, i don't need to buy another orchid box, do i?0 -

Did you get the dialler to dial home to pick up its routing table?now i find that the client software can't connect... anyone else having this problem?
No I can connect fine. If this is your first time connecting you need to change the IP address - have you done this?also - i have a master socket, from which i am running an extension downstairs. if i put the orchid box in the socket before the extension, i don't need to buy another orchid box, do i?
Do you mean that you plug the dialler into the master socket and then plug the extension socket into the dialler? Or is your extension socket hardwired from within the master socket?0 -
Just programming my Orchid dialler and cant seem to set weekend to be 6pm Friday to 8am monday ?? Will only let me set Saturday 00:00 onwards , how do most people normally set up the weekend call times ?
