I thought why not just change your exp date then no one can use your card and it stops play from getting a flag up for duplicate card numbers.

I believe it will not accept the wrong expiry date. When you enter the details Play send a verification £1 using the details and will not let you enter the card if the details are not valid.

The test cards people are using don't have this problem because any expiry date will do. But Play seem to have found out what people are doing and stopping the accounts.

i changed my expiry date a few months ago after reading this thread, it let me and then said it had expired but that was just a warning to enter another card.

  • OK, have changed valid from and to dates, made myself 73 and changed 3 digit code. Wouldn't let me change card no though. Hope that is safe enough?
If only I could stop finding good bargains on this site, I would save a fortune! :rotfl:

I emailed them yesterday about this, and have just received a reply. They will reset my password and let me access my account if I give them some details including last 4 digits of registered card - if only I could remember which test card I used:rotfl:.

  • I changed my account details to false ones after reading this thread. I had placed previous orders with no problems and the goods always arived within a few days but the last order I placed with them took ages to arrive. In light of this thread I decided to cancel my account. I called them up today and explained my reasons for cancelling, and the operator actually laughed at me! NICE customer service! He has assured me that my account is cancelled, I will check this later.

your order following any amendments you have made.

p.s. my ship adress is my work adress..not the adress of credit card
This happen when I've added my new card visa electron..How i can buy? please help me! (excuse for the bad english)
  • Not been on Play for ages (since the scare) but, from memory, you put your home address in then it asks if the goods are to be shipped to that address and, if not, gives you another box to put the address where the goods are to be sent to. That way your card will match up to your home address.
Apologies if I've misunderstood your question.

Happened to me last year, They wouldn't even let me know where the mobile phone was being sent, even though it was my account - THAT annoyed me.

They closed my account but wouldn't report it to the police.
